Uh, are we gonna fight, or is there just gonna be a monster sarcasm rally?

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

I think I just threw up a little.

Oh wait. No.

Make that a lot.

"I've got a gun! I've got a mother-flippin' gun!" - Moss, The IT Crowd

Let's never do that, m'kay?

We won't.

I might.

ION, typing in 'Top of the Pops' into YouTube brings up all the studio performances from, well, everyone. I just found Duran Duran's first appearance doing 'Girls on Film' and Morrissey's 'November Spawned a Monster'.

Oh, and Shaking Stevens, but we won't talk about that...

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

I might.
You would be mean if you did. And it will not result in my having the Chocolate Boy, just me never ever being able to buy your wife violet candies ever again.

Just type in 'Top of the Pops'. You'll probably find them both on the second page of hits. If you don't, let me know.

I shall look for them as soon as I watch Waiting for the Night Boat about a billion more times. Because Simon Le Bon doing the Queen Mab speech is ... *fangirlgoboom*

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I may be in love with this mental picture. Maybe.

well, maybe the person has always loved the song (not as much as Save a Prayer, but damn near) and maybe the person NEVER thought that she'd see it live (I don't think they've played it live since the 80's).

And there may have been a moment when she heard the duh duh DUH duh duh DUH where she froze in disbelief, then turned to the other mega fan and said "NO" and the other said "YES". And then maybe the screaming/crying started (complete with disgusted looks at the people who claimed to be fans who didn't know the song) And the person was not in her 30s at the time. of course not.

This just made my month; I found Lene Lovich performing 'Lucky Number'. [link]

It's a good quality copy too. I suspect it's taken from the restrospective TotPs they were screening the the UK.

Our wings are not tired.

On east coast time, no way I'm heading to YouTube. I shall have to discover what I missed in the 80s another time.

there may have been screaming and crying and maybe calling my answering machine so that I would be able to relive the moment. Maybe.

Although this inspires me.

Old Forge? Hannibal? I can never remember. But yes! Let me know when you're headed this way, please!

Bothish. My place is 12 miles from Old Forge, in Otter Lake, NY. My niece lives in Hannibal and I am obliged to visit her there. But a side trip to see AmyLiz would make it so much more palatable.

I took a break and went and had a couple glasses of wine with my GF. She was watching the BET awards. She told me who everyone was and a bit of dirt on each. Also gave me a fashion show of the outfits she bought for a new job she starts on Monday. It was girly girl fun. Yay!

The artist formerly associated with cupcakes.

Dear YouTube, why don't you have the actual music video for "Bloodletting" by Concrete Blonde? I mean, yeah, I have it on the big video compilation that Hec made for me, but I wanted to put it on my iPod.
