Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired

Thankfully I'm in the nicely air conditioned terminal. However I'm heading for Orlando, which means not only hot, but also wet.

Sorry to say, the heat is surely on in Orlando. About 91F here, and there. They beat us for humidity though. Only 41% while we are at 63%. A world of yuck.

I did work with middle schoolers on productions for 5 years and taught playwriting to 8th grade for a year.

It seems likely to me that both the frustrations and rewards would be high with this age group. Lots of emotions flowing.

Always Anti-fascist!

Yeah, when it went well, I bet it was really great. When it didn't, NSM.

Teaching them was fun. It was also at an all girls school, so that tweaks the dynamic a bit as well. The playwrighting class was a lot of fun.

That man was going to shank me. Over an omelette. Two eggs and a slice of government cheese. Is that what my life is worth?

I'm looking forward to it, but I haven't taught that age group. I'll have 2 classes each of 6th, 7th and 8th plus directing 3 musicals per year. Three! Yikes.

I can see where getting girls to write at that age would be much much easier than getting boys to write.

It's good to hear the car might not be so bad, erika. Still totally sucks and another thing you guys don't need to deal with.

How long in Orlando, ND?

Oh my, ChiKat! Guess you won't have time to get bored. Hope there are some helpful assistants in the bunch.

Back tattoos of the mother is that you are absolutely right - Ame

I am in the process of clearning out our laundry room...the dump room of the house (well, other than MY room). My nose is full of dust and lint and blech. How do we accumulate SO many cleansers? Anyone need any glass cleaner? We have oooooooooodles.

Yeah, I know. And insurance-think is pretty crazy, too.

Seriously. The music teacher co-directs the musicals, so I'm not on my own there. Which is good because music isn't my strength. I'm a very mediocre singer.

The physical space they have for performances is very limited, so I won't need to spend a lot of time on the technical aspects of the show. Which is, again, good. Acting/directing/front of house stuff. That's what I do well.
