Am I supposed to be changing my clothes a lot? Is that the helpful thing to do?

Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

How are you me? You need to stop that. Only I can be me. ~Kara

Toto always looks so little until I see someone holding him. He is very cute in his shirt.

Hey Trudy, vw. Debet, how's the job hunt going? I was very sorry to hear about the bird in the hand getting away.

I just got the kids to bed and now the cat and the dog are "playing". I swear, I thought pets would be easy.

Our wings are not tired.

Toto always looks so little until I see someone holding him.

I was thinking the same thing! Yay for vw and Trudy having some F2F time.

I'm about to take my son to go to the movies with his girlfriend. I'm too tired for this.

Things with Bob are a minute to minute roller coaster. Anyone that has been through the critical care thing knows what I mean. It sucks. We have decided with his wife that DH will go through his phone and go ahead and call back people who have been calling (that we know he likes) and let some more friends know what is going on and let them visit.

Then we are going to watch some old familiar movie or something. He suggested Jumanji (sp?). Haven't seen that in a long while.

well, my extra few hours in Portland were spent in a very buffista way, with Cass, a DVD, and the two of us on laptops on the couch...;)

And now I'm with Kristin and Drew! Kristin and I had our nails done, and there is a yummy supper we're going to have, and then big bisexual party...

Though, I was telling my coworker about the big bisexual party, and the next day walking along with Cass and saw a shop and went "Bi Shops?" and then realized it was a place called "Bishops". Um.

Erika, that sucks a lot. And much -ma to Anne's stepdad.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

and then realized it was a place called "Bishops". Um.
Not anymore, it's not.

Drat, I meant to get a pedicure today. And forgot.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

Deena, I'm currently awaiting call and/or email about job interview I had today.

Laura, that's when we took up jigsaw puzzles, just for the Zen. Calm-ma to you guys.

Thrive to spite them

Happy Teppy Day!

I got my cable bill and it was more expensive than I thought, even with the changes I made. Turns out I've got Stars and HBO so now I'm watching Dawn of the Dead.

Earlier this evening I sat outside and read and then watched the fireflies as it got darker. There was some kind of squirrel war going on up in the oak trees, but I didn't have bincoulars so I couldn't see. It looked like one squirrel was trying to get into a nest and the other was defending it. I couldn't hear the squirrels but I could hear the leaves shake.

brillig

I have very short hair. My husband scowled when he saw it.

I have no camera, but it's barely three inches long, dark reddish brown, very wavy because it's not *quite* long enough to go into curls yet.

And my head is so much cooler, and it's not in my face or on my neck.

The status is NOT quo.

Erika, that sucks and blows. I'm so sorry.

We just had a very yummalicious dinner, thanks to the farmers' market this morning and Trader Joe's this afternoon.

On the menu:

  • Mozz atop fresh heirloom tomatoes, doused in balsamic vin and garnished with ground pepper and fresh basil leaves
  • Couscous salad with cherry tomatoes, basil, mini-onions, and sundried tomatoes (premade at Trader Joes)
  • Freshly picked sweet, white corn on the cob, boiled but still crisp
  • BBQ chicken breasts and lemon salmon, grilled by Drew
  • 2004 Shiraz
  • Dessert: strawberries marinated in red wine, sugar, & balsamic vin over mini-bundt cakes & topped with homemade whipped cream (flavoried with gourmet Mexican vanilla)

We ate out on the patio and were very happy. I can has FEAST? YUM.

Our wings are not tired.

Yummmmmy. Good food with good people. Sounds delightful.

Wow connie! Wasn't your hair pretty long? What a change. It's going to freak you the next time you wash it.
