happy birthday Steph!
to make me happy today we bought a butterfly bush plant and a new lavender plant - the kind with a greater level of stink. It is also Les Barker [link] night. His poetry is fun.
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I had this in the posting box and had to rush away and forgot to hit "post."
No need for trappings! H traps, maybe. Although we wanted to eat out the other night and the first place both of us thought of was the Greek restaurant in Bellingham.
Anne, all best possible thoughts for your stepdad, your mom, and you.
Laura, that husband of yours is a grand fellow. I hope Bob continues to improve, and I'm sorry you're missing your nephew's graduation.
Best of luck, Emily, knock 'em dead!
Now that I'm back, erika, I'm so sorry about the truck--but I'm hopeful it's in the same shape as when it was taken.
And Emmett just continues to charm.
Bev, for your earlier comment, thank you. Yes. We know you know. Hugs.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY, TEPPY!
Also, all your meara are belong to me.
ETA: healing~ma for Anne's step-dad
Happy Birthday Teppy!!!
Last night, I was hacking up a lung and was hacking up pink stuff. I freaked thinking I was coughing up blood. Then I remembered I had just eaten a red velvet cupcake.
I laughed so hard, I almost joined you in hacking up a lung. This is just priceless.
Sigh. I am a MORON. I was supposed to be in LA right now. Instead, Cass dropped me off at the airport, I tried to check in, and found out that I thought my flight left at 5:24, but it turns out it ARRIVED at 5:24. Which meant it left at 3. I got to the airport at 4. Um.
I haven't done exactly the same thing, but I've had some close calls. Once, when I was leaving college, I got mixed up on the day of the flight. It was late at night, so I figured day A, but it was late enough that it was early the next morning, day B. I did figure it out before heading to the airport, but not only did I have to cancel the cab at the last minute, but I also had to spend the night almost alone in the dorm. And I'd already stored or shipped all my stuff except for one small suitcase, so I ended up spending the night with no bedding. I just about froze, curled up in my coat. I was lucky, though. Strictly speaking, we weren't even supposed to be in the dorms anymore, but the HR showed pity.
I don't know. I don't care. I gots me a meara!
My first thought on reading meara's post was that Cass must be really happy now.
I am also pleased to announce that the copious drugs I'm taking finally seem to have kicked in. I'm breathing pretty normally, and not even coughing a lot. I worked half of Friday, and plan fulltime on Monday. Now, if I could just get rid of the migraine.
No...they got in an accident with it. Smashed up another car. Dickwads.
Oh Erika, I'm so sorry to hear that.
Damn, erika. That blows.
Oh, erika, that sucks. I was hoping that it was found just out of gas.
Well, feh, Erika. That's lame.
Teppy, due to my lingering bleh, I keep thinking today is the 22nd.
HAPPY TEPPY DAY, EVEN THOUGH YOU ARE TIMELESS
me too. But we're not lucky, and that's just a fact.
