Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

Our wings are not tired.

I went to bed with all the boys still not settled down. Fell right out and DH did the middle of the night get them to bed job.

He has now taken the 3 little ones to a "Family Fishing Day Event" that is happening today at our lake/park. The Fish & Wildlife department and some local huge fishing store are partners in the event. Free which is nice. The parents of the other kids are always taking Bobby with their boys all kinds of places so I am taking my turn. It is particularly effective that by taking my turn I am having DH take them.

The teens are still asleep, of course.

I'm missing my great-nephew's HS graduation party today. Sigh. They are in upstate NY, where I am not. Cake his mother made [link] He's a good kid.

I should get more coffee.

Bob's learned to live with tragedy, but he knows that this tragedy is one that won't ever leave him or get better.

Anne, Glen and your family are in my thoughts.

Test~ma, Emily.

I just got a delivery of a million candles. It feels like you should be here to go through them with me.
I'm pretty sure you have the makings of the summoning spell right there.

Oh dear, Anne. Just read the beep me. I got ~ma to spare to send in your step-dad's direction. I hope the move to the other hospital puts him in the most excellent capable hands that can guide him back to health. So scary.

The lost sheep grow teeth, forsake their lambs, and lie with the lions.

So scary.

Very much so. They were out of town when this hit, so they're still on the East Coast (Boston) so I'm feeling not just helpless, but helpless and cut off.

Oh, honey. Is there anything I can do? What hospital? You can e-mail me info and if you need anything. I'm happy to help in any way I can!

Thank you so much. When I hear, I will definitely let you know where they are and what's going on.

Because books.

Oh, all kinds of ~ma for him, Anne, and for your mom and you.

Our wings are not tired.

It is so much harder when you can't be there. Boston has their act together when it comes to medical stuff. I'm hoping the transfer brings him closer to successful treatment. {{Anne}} I hope they are able to get in touch with you soon. Waiting is tough.

My Bobby's teacher had a burst appendix a couple years ago. She was out for months but came back the next year.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

{{{Anne}}} Tons of ~ma to your stepfather. What Laura said about Boston hospitals. I'm sure he's getting great care.

What is even happening?

Oh Anne, all the prayers and good thoughts I can muster for your step-father and mom (and you, honey).
