aw, I'd be sad if the parenting stuff left Bitches.
Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.
But maybe it's just like cats or baseball.
For me it's like this. I'll admit to skip/skimming sometimes, but I want to know what's happening with my bitches, and I know I want to hear the "it was white and square and it looked like a tooth so I swallowed it" stories.

This.
I know the thread has really changed over time, partly because of the parenting stuff and personal stuff, but it feels like it's grown with us. I like it.
The good thing about online conversations, I think, is that you can skip/skim without anyone else noticing. I suppose we all self-censor some.
Welcome to the world, Dylan!!!
I have so many crazy doctor stories. The one that has been running through my head lately is when the doctor told me if I didn't stay 90 lbs, I wouldn't be able to walk when I got older. Of course, he may have been right.
My stepfather's retirement party was very nice except for the part where I went back to Mom's sick with a terrible stomach ache and had to stay here all night. All of my old teachers, except for my favorites were there. Plus, I went to high school with the other retirees daughter and we were able to catch up on old times and have lots of fun whispering about all the teachers.

Oh, I love it.
And I love that we can switch between porn and corsets to potty training and odd things kids do in here.
It's funny - sometimes it feels as though, to me anyway, that out of all the threads I, personally, post most frequently in, Bitches seems to be the one that has evolved the most since I joined lo, these t looks at calendar Egads! FIVE years ago.
I think I've been here over 3 years now - hard to believe.
Since we are talking babies, Ellie seems to have potty trained herself - at home and not at night time. All I did was start taking her shorts/diaper off when we get home and she did the rest.
What do I do now? She doesn't tell the daycare people when she has to go, I assume because she's busy and having fun. I guess they are the ones who have to change the diapers, so maybe I just let them deal with it?
My goal this weekend is to find training pants/underwear that will fit her.
I would definitely miss the baby talk if it went away.
maybe I just let them deal with it?
Maybe if you asked them what has worked in this kind of situation before? I'm thinking it can't be the first time that they've had a kiddo distracted by the shiny objects (but who has figured it out at home) and they might have some suggestions on how you can work in tandem.
What do I do now?
Our daycare provider would put her on the potty once an hour, and then reward her when she went.
Now, all of the potty training books say that you shouldn't reward them for going potty, but I am not above bribery and hey - it worked for house training the dog, ya know? We use Hershey Kisses or M&M's.
We also use Pull-Ups. Mostly it was because that's what daycare wanted and we wanted to be consistent. I loved the Cool Alert ones - there was a strip in there that made the Pull-Up get cool if it was peed on - but they seem to have discontinued them in Em's size.
