My understanding - and this is probably from Steph - is that grapefruit juice hinders metabolism of some meds. So instead of being metabolized it hangs around in your system, and over time can lead to an accidental overdose.
Yup. Grapefruit juice, for whatever reason, does something wonky to the hepatic enzymes that metabolize many, MANY medications, and you do, in effect, end up inadvertently overdosing yourself.
I actually only remembered just last night because someone mentioned Baby Alter was going to be a Flag Day baby and I thought "Flag Day, Flag Day, that's important for some reason--oh!" So I'm not one of those women who wait to pounce on their husbands for forgetting anniversaries.
It's my parents' anniversary too - 38 years!

Debet! Come to Florida. We need teachers! And Florida would be a better place all round with DebetEsse. Seriously, the teacher shortage is crazy. It is a huge district. (eta Palm Beach where I am) I think 11th in the nation with 160+ schools. Miami-Dade and Broward are even bigger. t /pimp

Ok, just how high does the ambient temperature have to be to raise one's body temp? Yesterday it got up to 90ish outside making it a lovely day to mow the yard, as I still don't feel quite right until it is at least 80, in spite of having been through 2 Minnesota winters. So, yeah, I enjoyed that. But somehow the bedroom is wayyyyyyyy too hot even after having the a/c on so that Daniel would not be miserable when he came home. At about 1:30 am I took my temp. to find it was 99 degrees, which is a hair high for me. Window open (we'd turned off the a/c before bed) and fan on, I was burning up.
Laura, I'm afraid I'm probably not qualified for the local school system. I've got a degree in Montessori education, which makes me desirable, but with limited openings. I kinda compare it to being a Professor in a slightly obscure specialty: you go where the jobs are, to a large extent.
