Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I am a woman of various inclinations and only some of the time are they to burn everything down in frustration

It would be nice if the staff could stick around for the first 3-4 months, also.

Good point, I'll put that on the list, while I'm wishing.

Owie, Sean! ope the taping helps.

You can't leave me to my own devices; my devices are Nap and Eat. -Zenkitty

They could set that, couldn't they?

I think so.

I have no insurance or money for hospital visits, though.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

I'm sure there is no chance of a home birth if I were to get pregnangt, even if I wanted one. I'm sure the doctors will be hovering and worrying and super controlling for the full nine months, that's the way doctors always are with me. There's probably also little chance they're going to want to go near my spine with an epidural.

Because books.

I hear you. I forgot about that. When Jake broke his nose last winter I almost died, the hospital bill was so outrageous.

Stephen jammed his little finger last fall playing ball with the kids, and it now doesn't straighten out at all, and it's pretty much permanently swollen and mangled. But there was no way he was going to an orthopedist because we still owed so much.

Lack of health insurance SUCKS.

There's probably also little chance there going to want to go near my spine with an epidural.

There are other drugs, though!

Our wings are not tired.

this little piggie Oh, I guess that wouldn't be helpful. Poor Sean' toe. Did you ice it? A homemade splint of popsicle sticks and sports tape might help. They also have quite a variety of splints in drug stores.

It's not that I have anything against drugs for recreational purposes to help with labor pain, but my fear of needles and hospitals is greater than my fear of pain. The sugar issues, and the age issue made them refuse to let me have a home birth despite being 3 minutes from the hospital. If I had to do it over I would have insisted.

Shit's all sorts of different now.

Day Three of New Job, Part the Second:

::Co-Worker pokes her head around the corner, into my office::

SK: "I'm going to be a bit odd and ask you a question based on a vibe I'm getting from you."

Me: kind of nervous "Uh...Ok."

SK: "You're a Buffy fan aren't you? And all things Joss Whedon?"

Me: eyes bugging out "Uh ... yeah. How did you ... ?"

SK: "You said something yesterday that sounded just like something she would say. I knew you were a kindred spirit."

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

"You said something yesterday that sounded just like something she would say. I knew you were a kindred spirit."

We are legion.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

Awesome!

I think....
