Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

Some Jilli looks...

Still long, but different bangs

Quite short but gothy and elegant.

Pretty gothic lolita

Retro glam updo

Big hair

Long severe Cleopatra (pretty similar to what you've got I expect)

Long deep shag with a touch of Pris

Very striking - not for the timid

I've *always* wanted to see you in long, 40s glamorous retro waves

C'mon! Wouldn't you want to see Jilli with this hair?

Of course, Siouxsie has had some great short haircuts too

Remember when she had this great shag?

Siouxsie con guiche

Saucy short cut

Plus her bob in Peekaboo was awesome. And, of course, the short eton crop she's got in the video for "The Passenger" is my very favorite.

damn

Yep. I like that.

Start your own cult! It's the IN thing to do.

I bet that if I start a cult, I'd be able to leave the dayjob.

Sir, it's not an offence to let your cat eat your bacon. Okay? And we don't arrest cats, I'm very sorry.

And what is Kitten Jihad?

Heh.

(Sorry.)

Um... this was when folks on the Kitten board wanted to... do nasty stuff to Joss after he killed Tara, right?

Also, I've known about The Celluloid Closet way way before they made the movie....

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

All blame goes to that thing Ackles does with his mouth. You know. That one. No, the other one. Or maybe both.

....!

And Plei just guaranteed that I will get no more work done for the day.

There's the part where he nibbles on his thumb, too.

So come, my friends, be not afraid/We are so lightly here/It is in love that we are made; In love we disappear

Oooh, thank you for the links, Hec!

I want to see what I'd look like with waved hair, but I would have to go to a salon and have it done. My hair has a history of not holding any curl.

I also want to see what I'd look like with an angled bob, but have been told that It Would Not Work on me. I think I need to call the cute hairdresser and talk about pink extensions, 'cos I'm suffering hair boredom.

move out and draw fire

Pete, isn't that an awesome vid? I think P-C or someone linked to it earlier. I love it.

Turns out my secretary is quite involved with the DC roller derby (Secretaries of Hate).

lisah? Do you know if the Charm City Rollergirls ever play the DC teams?

What is even happening?

Um... this was when folks on the Kitten board wanted to... do nasty stuff to Joss after he killed Tara, right?
Yes, and trolled other communities, and made life miserable for the fandom. I started out very symapathetic to the cause, and by the end was posting things like:

DISGUSTED: Ah, tis such fun typing your chosen board name. I may shout out to you from time to time. DISGUSTED. DISGUSTED. DISGUSTED. It's downright cathartic.

You know what? It has finally happened. I never thought it would, because I was a bit of a W/T 'shipper myself, and definitely and Amber fan. I am now glad that the character of Tara was killed. I'm going to go put the last 5 minutes of Seeing Red on permanent loop and chant along with her, "Your shirt. Your shirt. Your shirt."

Ahem. "DISGUSTED" was the name the person used on the Bronze.

"Look, son, if it's good enough for Shirley Bassey, it's good enough for you."

My hair has a history of not holding any curl.

It's probably a bit long now. But if it were bra-strap length, you could get it set with a very strong setting lotion or mousse, on medium rollers at high heat and you'd definitely get some curl that could be brushed out into waves.

You'd need to find a stylist that was really good at retro hair, though, because most contemporary stylists are fairly lame at roller sets or pin curls. Both of which require some technique and experience.

eta: You should let Ple practice on you. She's obsessive compulsive enough to keep doing it until she got it right.
