Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

JARS!!! How are you, girl?

I'm okay. Living in kind of a scumhole, and seriously inernet deprived, but okay otherwise. How goes it Boston way? We should be over in late August, although I don't know if we'll have much spare time. There's a wedding and a sixtieth birthday to go to while we're there.

It's good. Finished the semester and am now enjoying summer and the ever-changing weather!

Well, definitely drop me (or us) a line. I know I'd love to see you. I'm doing a bit of traveling in August too. Hopefully it won't be at the same time!

Our wings are not tired.

Hi Jars! Good to see you.

Want: 1. More hours in the day 2. More money in the bank 3. No more mean people.

I've been loving sleeping in this week. I still wake at 6, but that gives me the pleasant reminder that I don't have to get up.

Jars!!!

I think I have a house. I haven't signed the lease yet, but the PM just asked me to change over the utilities to my name, so that's a pretty good sign.

Oh, that sounds good, Raq. YAY!

A house! Well done! I suppose you'll be far too busy to miss Greece then?

All is well that ends in pizza.

Suddenly Minnesota has not one but TWO Trader Joe's. A year ago we had none.

Go figure.

Good to see you Jars!

Dick's Sporting Goods

Funny story: My friend K had relatives visiting, and her parents drove them through one of our big shopping areas to go to dinner. In said area is a ginormous Dick's Sporting Goods. (Seriously, does a sporting goods store need to be two stories high and bigger than my apartment building?!?) Her relative let fly with "Man, the Dick's here are sure bigger than the ones back home!"

Yay for Trader Joe's!

So, um, I just looked up my financial aid award for next year. I'm getting $8,000 more than last year. I think I may actually deny some of the loans. Craziness.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Yay, Raq! I hope it all works out for you.

I found out something interesting about the shopping world yesterday, and I thought I should pass it on. You should never pay full price for anything at Linen's and Things. They take as many coupons as you have items, they take expired coupons, and they take competitors coupons. I ended up saving $30 when I was there yesterday getting storage boxes, bathroom organizers, etc.
