I am in the same situation right now, meara. Eventually I'll break down and hire someone.
Will I want to be here while they're working, or go hide somewhere?
[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I prefer to be elsewhere when someone else is cleaning my house. I have used people often in the past, but the past few months I have been too busy to get the house into a condition that anyone could clean it. They always say it doesn't matter, but even though every surface is covered with stuff I kinda know where my stuff is at. If it gets moved about to clean the surface I will never find anything again.
It also makes me a little crazy that other people don't get my logic about where things belong. Really, one cabinet has metal pans and another has plastic containers. Is that so hard to follow? Apparently.

Oh, yes! I spent 10 minutes putting things back in their proper place after the cleaners left the other day.
Jilli, I'm wearing my skull shoes to the wedding I'm going to today.
OK day just keeps getting better. You know how you should sing the "Happy Birthday" song twice for proper handwashing? (It takes about twenty seconds, the time required to eliminate most germs.) Well I also know a poem that takes about two minutes to recite. I use it for timing things like hair conditioner or just to pass the time when I am very bored. I was about a minute into it when I realized I was supposed to be singing the "Happy Birthday" song. My hands are very clean! I think I need more caffeine.
skull shoes
picature?
I can't find a link from my phone, but they black pointy flats with silver skulls.
Perfect for a wedding.
I joined a gym! I told everyone that's what I wanted for my birthday -- money for a couple months gym membership and Mom gave me money early so I could go ahead and get started. I joined Women's World because it's the most convenient. It's just a couple blocks from my house so hopefully that means I'll go often.
Of course I joined and then promptly left, but I've got cramps and don't feel like spending time on a treadmill, but I went ahead and scheduled my initial sessions with the personal trainer on Monday.
Good for you, askye! In my world, convenient = close enough that I won't talk myself out of the workout in the time it takes to get there.
I've been at work all day today, which is icky, but when I have Monday off as a comp day I'll feel differently, I'm sure.
Tomorrow I'm going to see cousin Sox and other cousin who is in town from Auckland, NZ, yahoo!
