Spike's Bitches 36: Did I Sully Our Good Name?

[NAFDA] Spike-centric discussion. Lusty, lewd (only occasionally crude), risque (and frisque), bawdy (Oh, lawdy!), flirty ('cuz we're purty), raunchy talk inside. Caveat lector.

I already mock-accused Drew of plotting to run a pay-per-view webcam site

So Drew, are you going to take PayPal?

Friends don't let friends read "Atlas Shrugged"

um ... I'd like to point out that some people (ones with my skills) are likely to leave you with speakers covered in real blood ....

Man, I am SO tempted to take time off of work and come down to work crew for you. Never mind that I don't really have the skills for it. I'm perfectly willing to run wire and hang speakers while wearing frilly bloomers and cute tops.

As long as you are good with climbing ladders and such you're good. There's almost always a greenhorn or two on the crew and the other folks show them the ropes. We even work good hours, we start at either 3 or 4 in the afternoon and work until Midnight or 2.

You should know I'm a big deal in the Resistance.

OK I thought I was a little sick and twisted when I heard they were making a musical of The Color Purple and my mind immediately started composing a song in celebration of "the button." Apparently the composers are sick and twisted too because we have selections from the soundtrack playing in the lobby and I could swear I just heard the lyrics, "push the button, push the button, push the button if you want to come in!"

I’d be lying if I didn’t say that I miss them all tonight…

Laga, you're not wrong: [link]

Well OK then. I recall talking about the book in the 80s with a friend who had loaned it to her Mom and remembered all the lesbian sex after her Mom said it was... an interesting book. "The Button" was something we talked about in hushed voices punctuated by knowing giggles. I can't decide if I'm pleased or disturbed that it has now become a show stopping number.

For some reason I now have "Put Down the Ducky" stuck in my head.

All sorrows can be borne if you put them into a story. Tell me a story.

Thing is, I never know what I'm going to need when I'm doing these crazy things. Usually it's just running cable and hanging speakers, but then something odd with come up.

I'm good with odd things. And I can solder, spend lots of time on ladders, and I have rigging experience! Am I hired?

well I dont know if I'm pleased or disturbed to know that "Loosen Up My Buttons" may have a secondary meaning.

Sure, come on out to LA. Actually if you want to come out for a bit I can probably hook you up with the lighting company that does Halloween. He'll probably need a few folks.
