No kidding, askye! I thought she was a shoe-in! I was expecting Blake to upset Jordin. Wow. I'm stunned.

But, I'm confident she has earned enough attention, that she will never be a backup singer again.

"What kind of magical sunshine and lollipop world do you live in? Because you need to be medicated."-SFist

Crap! I just spoiled myself. Oh well, that's what I get for pausing the dvr. I have to say I'm not surprised. While I thought Melinda was the best singer, she's had a tendency to pick little-known songs and so I think it may be hard for the voting public to be completely into what she does each week.

I called Mom - "did I see that right? WTF?" Mom: "Maybe she just seemed too old. Not really the American Idol type?"

I suspect your mother is right, askye. Both Blake and Jordin have the appearance of being a "pop" idol. I think a lot of folks had a problem categorizing Melinda.

"We have trust issues." Mylar

Well, that sucks. I guess they didn't want another adult contemporary winner after Taylor "Woo" Hicks. So sad, because Melinda was clearly the best of the three left. I guess I have to root for Blake now, because Jordin works my every last nerve. Well, it's been a while since they had a male winner . . . since Ruben. (Edit: Maybe if I try hard enough, I can make Taylor disappear. Woo!) And who would've thought after so many of the guys were sucky this year.

Disappointing finish to AI for the second season in a row. But on the good side, Elliot kicked ass even with all the scary hair and kinda crappy song. That man can flat out blow.

Anyone watching Shear Genius? OMG, Tabitha just is a prime bitch. I don't much care for Tyson either, but the way she dissed him to the judges? Damn!

I have often wondered if Melinda was as popular off-line as she is online. But this is also coming from someone who just doesn't "get" Melinda, even tho I will say she looks TONS better now than she used to.

I wonder if people just assumed everyone was voting for her so they voted for the others, thinking that they didn't need to vote for her. Does that make sense?
