I'm curious to see what Stacy and Dreamz do now that it's down to 7 -- they have to know that they're the outsiders of the Ravu alliance, and Alex will vote with anyone who throws him a lifeline at this point.
Someone over on WX theorized that Alex voted for Mookie because he realized that the group was going to vote for him or Mookie and it isn't going to hurt him too much. Either he's right and everyone votes for Mookie, who is out and can't get mad at Alex or he's wrong and he's voted off and he doesn't have to deal with Mookie feeling betrayed.
How are the rules on ties working this season? I was having trouble figuring out how risky this split the vote plan actually was.
That's what I was thinking- don't tie breaker resolutions have a tendency to change from season to season? I did not like that split vote plan AT ALL.
Last season fire making was the tie breaker.
Yeah, but haven't they had seasons before where a tie ended in other things, like an automatic revote, excluding the tie-ees? Nobody sounded too worried about it, but bonehead ratios are such that I wouldn't put a whole lot of faith in that.
They did the fire starting thing when the Ultimate Loser Tribe was down to Steph and what's his name (who both came back in another season) so I think it was fair for them to think that the tie break would be fire.
Fire-starting has been the most common tie-breaker, but they've been switching things up a lot this season, so I wouldn't be surprised if it was something new and weird.
The worst was when they had the tie-ees pick colored rocks out of a bag.
Has fire-starting been a tie breaker when there were more than two people remaining in a tribe? I only remember it happening when it was a last-man-standing kind of situation. I don't think it works the same.
I know that in at least one season, the people that tied were left out of the vote, but I don't think that has been the case recently.
These last two episodes have been great. And kudos to the production people that apparently hid quickly enough to not give away Cassandra and Stacy immediately. I don't which expressions I loved more, the three stooges at tribal last week, or Alex and Mookie when the twig snapped.
