oh and i totally agree about Bono, askye. i'd really like to see what kind of constructive criticism he offered up(and was probably promptly ignored by some of the contestants).

Just tuned in. I liked Phil at first but he's just so fucking cheesy.
I think you're right on about Lakisha. They lauded her so much early on that it's affecting her song/performance choices.
he's just so fucking cheesy
Ah, so you agree with Simon, he should stick to country.
Hee.
Okay, Jordin's got my vote. How can I not? That was my senior class song for graduation. Geez.
Lakisha thinks she IS the American Idol this year. that's why she keeps picking past Idol songs. she irritates the crap outta me.
I liked her in the beginning. Her rendition of You're Gonna Love Me was fabulous. But now she's just being stupid and arrogant. You just don't pick songs from former idols. You just don't.
Half of them sounded like lounge singers. I don't usually watch Idol, but I did not get the nearly-universal praise of these performances.
I am already sad that Jordin's going to lose a bunch of weight with a record deal, I bet.
Oh, I know. Her shape is perfect for her and the pressure she's going to be under, poor kid. I hope she tells them to go to hell.
Yeah, I didn't think Jordan was all that. But I do think she's going to win.
Her vocals were a bit wobbly, but I felt she connected to the emotion in the song better than most of them tonight. None of the six are at all close to a Carrie Underwood or a Taylor Hicks. I guess some years we just have to deal with a crop of understudies.
