A year and a half ago, I could have eviscerated him with my thoughts. Now I can barely hurt his feelings. Things used to be so much simpler.

Because books.

If yours have David Attenborough, they're the original BBC version.

I just totally flashed on Richard Attenborough in Jurassic Park talking about getting Richard Kiley for the narration. "We spared no expense!"

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

I'm liking Weaver as narrator, but now I'll have to mourn the absence of Attenborough!

The birds of paradise doing their courting dances was mind-blowing!

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

tiggy, I'm an AI fan, at least for this season. I'm hoping we won't see anymore of Sanjaya, he makes me cringe and want to pull his hair out.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

Sail, if there's any justice in this world dialidol.com will be right for one of the first times this season.

Sanjaya is this year's Kellie Pickler/Bucky Covington for me. completely awful and yet continues to advance week after week.

who's your favorite?

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

Sanjaya needs to go. Damn, his performance last night was ATROCIOUS. Ack.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

So, on Top Model, I was thinking the whole accent thing was jacktarded, but then I remembered that past girls had to do commercials in other languages, so I guess they were trying to do an equivalent in an English-speaking country.

No, still jacktarded.

Art Crawl!!!

They made them speak with an faux-Australian accent, right?

Why not make them speak Spanish? Makes sense in the USA.

Yes. They were in Australia at the time, which is something, but still.

It's five thousand for kissing, ten thousand for snuggling... End of list.

If yours have David Attenborough, they're the original BBC version. (Discovery rewrote the narration and replaced him with Sigourney Weaver.)

Like, how much rewritten? Because the Weaver narration is STUPID. Like the one with the painted dogs that are chasing the gazelle (or one of the other fleetfooted deer relatives being hunted in that episode...there were a lot) where the fact that one gazelle gets eaten instead of another gazelle is termed "a miracle." And how every single creature pretty much is on the brink of death ALL THE TIME.
