Well some friends of Buffy played a funny joke and they took her stuff and now she wants us to help get it back from her friends who sleep all day and have no tans.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I seem to recall someone involved in the production said that we were to understand that it wasn't new just then.

Mostly lurking...

Yeah, it definitely felt like it had been going on for a while.

Anyone watching Desperate Housewives?

I won't be watching until tomorrow, but I'm looking forward to it. It's the finale, right?

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

csi:

Okay, not counting the incident with her daughter, where she tried to whip the bad guy to death until Grissom came along and stopped her, but she was under extreme emotional duress at the time.

considering the way that Lady Heather's daughter died, I'd say she was being remarkably sane and merciful to the sumbitch. In her shoes, I'd hire Linderman from Heroes (yeah, yeah, genre crossover) to come and heal the guy just at the point of death so I could kill him a lot.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

NBC fall pilot snapshot:

Journeyman - OMGSUCKED. Which is terribly disappointing to me because I was really looking forward to the adventures of time-traveling Vorenus! But it's like if Tru Calling and Life on Mars had a really stupid boring baby together, and it was just no fun at all to watch and didn't make any sense and Kevin McKidd's American accent was really kind of awful.

Bionic Woman - Not a brilliant pilot, but worth watching to see if it improves. It's got shades of Dark Angel and Alias in it as far as plot goes, but the characterizations of the two bionic women are pure Buffy and Faith with the hair colors reversed. (The bionic protagonist's last name is even Summers. And they fight in the rain on a rooftop.) Katee Sackhoff is fantastically evil, and her role is written so she only has to be around while BSG is on hiatus, of which I approve. (Aaron Douglas also has a small role which may or may not be recurring.)

Chuck - probably the best of the three, but still very rough around the edges. I love that it's clearly a show by, for, and about nerds, but the explanation of how exactly the premise works reeeeeally stretches the limits of my suspension of disbelief. It's well-written enough to handwave for the most part, but there are some major issues that will at some point need addressing. Adam Baldwin is great, as usual.

re: Bionic Woman

for what it's worth, Jamie Sommers, the bionic woman, was around first. Quick, guess who watched the original!

The Desperate Housewives finale was very interesting. It left a lot more questions than it gave answers. Susan's life is the only one that doesn't seem up in the air, which is a first for a Desperate Housewives finale. It was great to see Bree back.

Art Crawl!!!

Isn't Mark Sheppard on Bionic Woman too?

Oh, they repeated the Gilmore Girls finale last night - - still excellent. Still sad-making.
