vw,
okay, well I need to whitefont the CSI story because for all intents and purposes it is a spoiler about a character's fate, I think.
apparently, Sara Sidle was supposed to die in this ep. The actress refused to film the scene, so they had to redo do the last 5-10 minutes at great cost to CBS. She is still renegotiating her contract.
le nubian can
an actress just do that? Refuse to shoot a scene and TPTB would let her?
about the CSI white-font: Whywould they negotiate with her? Why not just fire her ass and write her death in as happening off stage?
ER: We need to have a moratorium on "Hallelujah" montages. This is just getting ridiculous.
(As were many many of the storylines tonight.)

Amen to that. I can't seem to stop watching this show, but the annual huge! superdramatic! cliffhanger! season ender is more eye-rolly every year.
Here's a NY Post article about the CSI actor's negotiations:

a quote (in white font):
JORJA Fox was supposed to die at the end of "CSI" this year - but she has refused to show up on the set to film her "death scene," according to a published report.
A salary dispute with CBS was at the bottom of the unusual stand-off.
Unhappy with Fox's demands, execs decided to kill off her "CSI" character, Sara Sidle, who's romantically involved with boss Gil Grissom (William Petersen).
Fox was scheduled to film Sara's death scene late last month, when her character was supposed to be crushed by a car for the May 17 season finale.
But Fox refused to show up on the set, according to a report that first appeared in the Star.
It forced the show to film an alternate ending - including last-minute script rewrites and flying co-star Marg Helgenberger from L.A. to Vegas for re-shoots,
Fox's rep told The Post yesterday that the actress' future on the show was indeed up in the air.
How can it be more up in the air than dead? I'm just boggled!
GA: Man. Poor Christina. And George. But Izzy must stop.
Re: CSI
This is the second time that Jorga Fox has been involved in some ugly contract dispute with them, isn't it? Last time, she stopped coming into work and got fired, no?
As for Ugly Betty,
NOOOOOOOOOOOOO! From two shows to no show? Poor Kevin. Poor rest of us who won't get to watch Kevin on TV every week anymore.
