Sweet lumpy minion, you're the only one that understands. Probably 'cause I haven't sucked the brain out of you yet.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Kurtwood Smith already showed up this season as the father of Dave Matthews.

I'd completely fogotten that. I do remember at the time I was floored because he WASN'T playing a hardass dad for once. I don't think the "Eric Foreman" thing pinged me then for some reason (and I completely missed the DPS reference - D'oh!!!).

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

I totally remember when we first found out [House] Foreman's name. Because That 70's Show was still on the freaking air. And on the same network.

I don't get the thing about Foreman's name.

Sometimes I trip on how happy we could be.

Eric Foreman is the same name as Topher Grace's character on That 70s Show. Whose father is played by Kurtwood Smith.

Oh, OK. I've never watched that show, so that explains it.

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Are you talking about Kathryn Erbe? She has a 10 year old daughter and a 4 year old son.

Her pregnancy with the four year old was written into the show. Her character was serving as a surrogate mother for her sister. That's kind of bizarre, but better than a season of file folders and closeups of her face. The character even used the pregnancy to get witnesses and suspects to talk to her.

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.

I started watching L&O:CI when Erbe was pregnant, and I don't think I've seen many of the others. It weirds me when I tune in and Goren has a different partner.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Over in the comedy arena, My Name is Earl 's Jaime Lee Presley's real-life pregnancy was written in as Joyce surrogating for her half-sister. (If anything, prego-Joyce is even funnier than usual.)
