Jericho: I just finished watching it. Scott was working (at home) last night and I kept waiting for him to be done, so we could watch it, together. He didn't finish up until 1:00am, so that didn't happen.
In the first scene, where the men return ahead of schedule, and Stanley and Russell can't tell Jake where Eric is, I love how Jake just pushes Russell up against the truck. He is so little, and Russell isn't, and yet Russell is so intimidated by him -- even though nobody knows how Jake spent all his years away from home. It just cracks me up.
When Jake went to Hawkins, it reminded me -- I don't think I ever saw the end of last week's episode.
I'm not usually psyched to see babies on a show, but I think being torn between Mary and his baby would have made Eric at least somewhat interesting. It's too bad they killed April off so soon. I was wondering if they'd form some post-apocalyptic polygamous marriage which would have driven Gail Green straight up a tree. Now Eric is just a mope with little purpose other than to act in a manner opposite of how Jake's acting at the moment. I'll see how he acquits himself in New Bern, but so far, I've never managed to care about the character.
I liked the little moment of politicized preaching from Hawkins to Jake -- that the fear of torture gets results and actual torture only works in the movies. I may have shouted out, "And on 24."
I've really come to like Mimi, which surprises me, because I hated her so much at the beginning of the season. I'm glad they've toned down the tension between her and Bonnie. It was over the top, before. Bonnie's boyfriend Sean has to go, though. Ugh. You can order stuff, on the internet. Duh. Stanley's, "My house. My rules. My vibe," cracked me up.
So is Constantino just angry and in panic mode or is he evil and greedy? How is Hawkins going to manage to free Jake and Eric? Is Sam Hawkins going to end up spilling to Jimmy, some other day?
I wonder if Heather is truly dead. I really hope not, but it seems she is and if so, I'm disappointed. Emily's a little too much of a bland pretty girl for my tastes.
