"I make mistakes, but I am on the side of Good," the Golux said, "by accident and happenchance.” – The 13 Clocks, James Thurber

I wonder if Angela shouldn't tell Hodgins some version of the thing she told the shrink: because I bet he would get that for her it was too soon. (I mean, waiting a week or two and trying again really isn't the answer.)

I was wondering if another issue for Angela might be that she's already married. (There was an episode during the first season that had a subplot with an officious woman who interviewed everyone at the lab - it had something to do with security clearances, and trying to determine how much of a threat they all were to national security. Zach was mainly annoyed, and she was trying to talk to him as he was examining evidence and just muttering to her on the side. Hodgins was really irritated because the officious woman didn't feel she needed to interview him, as he had already been reviewed earlier when a relative of his had been involved in politics. (I think the upshot was that he was determined to be a conspiracy nut and essentially harmless, and he announced that he was NOT harmless; he knew many ways to kill people, thank you very much.) Brennan finally got rid of her by making a phone call to Someone Important when she inquired about a case Brennan had consulted on in a mysterious country somewhere. But when the woman talked to Angela, she mentioned Angela's husband. Angela kind of laughed and said, "Oh, that took?" and started talking about fire dances and Tahiti, I think it was.) So there may actually be a husband kicking around out there somewhere. Not that Hodgins couldn't afford the lawyers to track him down and divorce him.

If you're going through hell/keep on going/don't slow down/keep your fear from showing/you might be gone/'fore the devil even knows you're there

Oh, I'd forgotten about that. I'll bet that's it. I mean, among her other issues.

I missed the opening of Criminal Minds last night, Toddson. Sounds funny.

Gilmore Girls is over.

Aw, bummer. I totally found this show after the fact (S has watched it for a while, and since it's one of the shows that gets rerun all the time on cable during the day, I'm now pretty much caught up), but I've really enjoyed it, and it's made me laugh lots and lots. I'll be sad to see it go.

Oh, yeah, Angela's fire ritual "marriage".

I get the idea that Angela really despises anything that defines her future, whether it's pleasant or not. She loves the idea that anything and everything could happen to her. I mean, she flashed her tits at the airline counter clerk--that's an intro to a character!

I think she'll run to escape the very attractive "trap" she thinks staying with Hodgins will put her in.

If I want to become a cloud of bats, does each bat need a separate vaccination?

I think it's for the best, honestly, and I've been watching since the beginning. This season in particular has been very rocky, with the Palladinos gone. Not to mention Alexis Bleidel has been pretty public about wanting to move on, leading to conversations at the studio level about continuing the show without the creator AND without the main character...I can't imagine any good would have come of another season.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

We're missing an episode of Bones that was yanked because of Virginia Tech. so the relationship between Angela and Hodgins appears to be moving faster than it should.

Art Crawl!!!

GA: It was odd hearing the GA cadences from non-GA characters. Also, oddly my cousin had beagles named Pete and Tillie.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

Oh, come on -- like Angela kissing Hodges and then turning down his proposal wasn't annoying.

I didn't think it was! I think because we lost last week's episode, we didn't get that same sense of continuity, but I could see that they were making it interesting. And [promo pics spoiler] since I know how it turns out, I'm content to go along for the ride.

Gilmore Girls is over.

Huh. For some reason I'd been thinking this entire season that it had been cancelled (for the end of this season) at the start of the season. So I've been thinking it's the last one the whole time anyway. Easier to let go, anyhow.

Angela kind of laughed and said, "Oh, that took?" and started talking about fire dances and Tahiti, I think it was.) So there may actually be a husband kicking around out there somewhere. Not that Hodgins couldn't afford the lawyers to track him down and divorce him.

No, I think it has less to do with that and more to do with the dude from New Mexico who died while she was staying with him. She would only give him three weeks a year, even though she loved him and he wanted more; for whatever reason she couldn't settle down, which is part of the reason she was hesitant to get into a new serious-type relationship with Jack. So I think some of that reservation is present in her refusals--she wants some kind of certainty that she's making the right choice (where, in her mind, she should have made the right choice years ago with NM dude, but can't because he's dead) which manifests itself in this feeling she's talking about. I have faith that Jack will get it right, though. They're too awesome together.

Always Anti-fascist!

Watch for Alexis Biedel to bomb playing the world's tiniest hooker next year to "free herself" from her Rory image.
