Although the sudden reveal that she's stinking rich gave me whiplash. I hate it when things come totally out of left field like that.
This bothered me too. I mean, first Denny, now Calli. I know doctors tend to be well off, but I thought it was usually earned wealth that didn't show up until they'd been practicing for a while. On the other hand, it didn't bother me at all when whatshisname on Bones turned out to be rich, so I'm not sure why this bugs me.
Well, at least that made her living in the hotel make sense. And, in a way, the living in the basement - being all romantic and rejecting her family's money and the luxury it buys.
Does Ugly Betty go in here or in Comedy?
I suppose it could go either way, -t, but I would guess here since the examples for comedy were all sitcoms. However, I haven't been in Comedy, so I'm not sure.
I kind of like this setup. I may be getting to be too attached to our little Wilbur here.
Does Ugly Betty go in here or in Comedy?
I couldn't decide last night, so I didn't post. It seems more comedy than here to me though.
Yeah. I've had hourlong=drama drilled into me, but it plays more like a comedy.
Anyway, all I wanted to say abot it was: Doctor Fish! Right after we talked about them! Pretty soon after, anyway.
I guess this is where we talk about ER?
I was disappointed in the HPV vaccine storyline last night. When Sarah wanted it, I can see the initial "You're not having sex, are you?" reaction as being realistic, but once it got to the "No, I'm not having sex, I just want protection for when I do have sex later on," point, the reaction of the doctors really should have been along the lines of, "Of course. Smart girl," rather than "Why are you trying to grow up so fast?"
Anyone else see Raines tonight? The little girl was an excellent actress (both loved and was disturbed by her delight in repeatedly blowing away the molester with Raines' gun), and Goldblum really hit his performance out of the park. When he was talking with the shrink on the phone after yelling at the two figments to shut up, and he was so on the verge that he was practically crying--man, I teared up, too!
Damn it, I keep forgetting that I want to check out Raines.
Kathy, I am really enjoying Raines. I wish it had had at least a 13 ep order. I heard the ratings aren't great - so I don't think NBC will be putting it on the fall schedule.
