And don't you ever stand for that sort of thing. Someone ever tries to kill you, you try to kill 'em right back! ... You got the right same as anyone to live and try to kill people.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Liese, in reference to your last question, we saw the beginnings of Torchwood set up in a Doctor Who episode, though I forget the name. Anyway, it was during the latter half of Victoria's reign.

And I think it's unclear how long Jack's been with Torchwood, especially since Torchwood One in London was presumably the main office until they got themselves invaded by Daleks and Cybermen.

What is perfectly clear is that Jack and Ianto are so very awesome. I mean, aside from the kiss, what a sweet conversation. Ianto would miss Jack! Jack wouldn't go home if he could!

Art Crawl!!!

Blood Ties news:

Canadian film and TV association nominates "Blood Ties" for best prime-time drama series. (Other nominees: Durham County, Intelligence, Race to Mars and ReGenesis) and from Watch with Kristen:

Aeryn in Rijswijk, Netherlands: I just heard/read that BLOOD TIES is definitely not gonna be picked up by another network. Can you confirm this?

Not true! Sources tell me everything is still on the table, and negotiations may even begin this week at the NATPE conference, a major TV-biz event in Vegas. Keep your bloody fingers crossed, friends!

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

Torchwood 2.03:

Oh, that's right. I forgot about that Dr. Who ep.

Hmm. Interesting.

I agree, unshockingly, about the awesomeness that is Ianto & Jack. I liked how Ianto sat down on Jack's desk and had a little heart-to-heart. Gwen complains all the time about how Jack doesn't let her in. But Jack lets Ianto in because Ianto demonstrates his care for him. It was a nice moment.

Looking forward to Rhys in the upcoming. Think she'll tell him about the affair while she's fessing up about Torchwood? It's well nigh on time Rhys knew what she was doing for a living. Honestly, I think he should have known all along. That kind of risk is a family decision.

Ann, that's a ferret.

I haven't seen the ep. But the SO of someone who works in law enforcement isn't going to know all the details of SO's work -- there's a certain confidentiality to working in law enforcement. And government generally, for that matter. So even if Gwen had stayed with the police force, Rhys would have known only so much about what she does. Not to mention the possibility of plans getting upset at the last minute because duty calls .

Ahahaha. Neil Gaiman says The People in Torchwood Are All Too Stupid to Live.

"You can't put a price on the joy of not giving a shit." -Zenkitty

I know this is an easy one to answer, because I don't listen to current music and it was familiar to me--what was the song playing at the start of Torchwood 0203?

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Thanks, shrift, for stepping into the breach and taking one for the team like that.
