...because God knows you need some satisfaction in life besides shagging Captain Cardboard! And I never really liked you anyway. And you have stupid hair!

Spike ,'Selfless'

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

I thought there a couple of shoutouts to Spike, but otherwise found the character to be distinctive.

I really enjoyed it, which is saying a lot since I couldn't bring myself to stick with the first season, despite having read all the discussions here for doing just that. Could. Not. Watch.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Torchwood: I hate JM's normal accent, so I was kinda relieved they decided not to go with it. But I didn't feel that Captain John was that Spikey otherwise.

I enjoyed the ep. Had a good balance of snogging and fighting.

My assumption, based on the proportions in that shot at the end, is that Graham or whoever is a kid--perhaps Jack's son? Little brother?

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

insent tiggy.

Had a good balance of snogging and fighting.

This alone makes me wanna watch. Okay, I wanted to already, but this is an outstanding review line.

I just caught up in the thread and although I do like the SCC, I am in the camp thinking the true Sarah Conner would have asked Cameron to wait until John got back to stitch her wound. She would have dealt with some blood loss just so John could learn some field medic technique. Overall, I am happy with it though.

Oh, and from way back in the thread, I will blame DW Blinkfor the rest of my life for the second glances I give statuary.

Trust my rage

So, there's no real way to watch this Torchwood without torrenting? I'm curious about all the buzz but I just don't have the time these days for torrenting and then getting crap.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

It'll be airing on BBCA in a couple of weeks.

Hmm - sounds like a channel we don't get but I guess it's not really a great time for me to be picking up new shows...

eta: and I see I can get the 1st season from netflix so maybe I'll go that route.

sumi - I totally saw your link but I've never even watched the show. The completist in me requires that I watch the 1st season first.
