"I remember when they eventually introduced that drug kingpin who murdered people and smuggled drugs inside snakes and I was like 'Finally. A normal person.'” —RahvinDragand

There was something on last night with Gigi Edgley in it, but when I saw the obvious Bull Paxton ripoff character all but shouting "Game over, man!" I switched the channel.

"Faded like the lilac, he thought."

I watched Cleopatra. But I watched Jack, too. Because I came to fandom through Herc/Xena, and I was smitten. Oh, Gina!

But also, I have no taste. I loved lots of really questionable sf/fantasy. I did not care, as long as it pretended to have a mythos, I was there.

Johanna's friend David got to come up with pitches for a bunch of Sci-Fi channel movies. He said that he would like to do nothing else. There were a few where they were like, "Oh, we love that, but we're already making a giant cannibalistic parakeet movie, damn."

The best one that I remember of his ideas was about a killer boar. Called Aporkalypse.

I watched C2525. I am unsure why or how that started... or continued. But there you have it.

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Ron Perlman fights MUTANT BABOONS.

The obvious joke being how can you tell them apart.

Called Aporkalypse.

See, THE TICK already had Apocalypse Cow, so it's been done.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

The only thing that could make the Mutant Baboon movie better is if Burn Gorman (Torchwood's Owen Harper) is Perlman's second in command.

Personally, I find it hard to believe that the SciFi people could resist the idea of Aporkalypse since it's clear they choose their projects solely by the coolness of the movie's title.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Bruce Campbell was doing a book tour right before the movie he made for SciFi aired. It was something about a brain...maybe it exploded?

anyway, as part of the tour a local theatre screened the movie and Bruce did a Q and A that was pretty hilarious. He said that Scifi films all of their self-made movies in Bulgaria because it is dirt cheap. He also said he was the first director to actually use the locale as Bulgaria!

The Man with the Screaming Brain! Pretty much a title that's made of awsome.
