By the time they realized they couldn't get a real bonobo for the role, it was probably too late to get the script changed.
This may have been mentioned here before, but Earth 2 dvds were on the shelves at Target when I was there today. I actually had 'em in my cart for a while until I was overcome with the fear that the show would not have aged well, that it might seem cheesy. Has anyone done a recent re-watch of Earth 2, and can weigh in on this?
