A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

And the "Open my jacket so the monkeys can fly out!" thing would have made more sense if the jackets had ever covered the monkeys. Instead, it was more like, "Look at my BREASTS! Oh, and go, monkeys."

...okay, I

Go monkey! Choose monkey!
...okay, I do have to see this.
Clearly. So come on over, I'll make popcorn.
Awesome! I'll bring icecream!
Tin Man struck me as firmly steampunk
Yeah, that's what I was thinking, too.
Journeyman, how I love thee?
I had truly believed that Dan and his boss had lost their jobs for good.
Dan's father actually made me feel for him when he spoke of feeling like a freak in his own home, loved all their conversations together, and I'm down with the theory that he's a traveler too. Not so much that Livia and her beau (Henry?) are ancestors of the Vasser family, because, icky. Although his profile did look a lot like Diamond Reed. Or maybe Henry is indeed a Vasser granpappy on Dan and Jack's mother's side (which would explain Livia not twigging to the surname) but Livia isn't part of the family tree (she gets pulled away and loses him too? Henry starts a family with another woman, and then no ickiness, just Livia having a thing for Dan's entire family.)
Don't like Jack's girl. Don't trust her, I think she's lying about the pregnancy and will have a "miscarriage" down the line and Jack's heart will
break.
She's been diagnosing him and judging him from the get-go based merely on what Jack says. She's got another agenda. Or are they intending her to be the new Jack, now that Jack himself is in on the secret and he doesn't get to be all misunderstanding and judgycakes (although still bitchy) about Dan?
There were a lot of themes of family and walking away vs. sticking it out despite the hardship of trying to be together. Dan and Jack's father gives up, Livia accepts to try again with a man who she admits she has a hard time lying to, Dan's mom pretty much encourages Katie to leave him--there was also a lot of empathy going around, everyone speaking from their own experiences and I loved the implications and how the advice affected others, their reactions. Loved the emotion.
I also really appreciated that Katie was still freaked about the man who had invaded her house. Continuity and consequences!
edited to fix italics
I loved that heartbreaking conversation between Barbara and Katie. So unexpected.
Blood Ties: A TWOPPER phoned Lifetime and got a call back from a real person who said that they would be marathoning all episodes from seasons 1 & 2 on February 9th and 10th INCLUDING the online only episodes. She asked about season "3" and there was no news about that yet.
I read further on the Blood Ties thread and it's not a marathon - it's a reairing of the episodes starting February 9th and it's on "Lifetime Real Women" not regular Lifetime.
Drat.
