Zoe: Don't think it's a good spot, sir. She still has the advantage over us. Mal: Everyone always does. That's what makes us special.

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

from a review over on IMDB:

More than one generation has grown up on The Wizard of Oz and its variations, from the original book to the modern musical, Wicked. Tin Man is a different take than any I've seen before, but by no means does that make it bad. Fans of Joss Whedon's Firefly will probably enjoy this
The hell?

Art Crawl!!!

Okay, I'm glad that I'm not alone in thinking that Henry's profile greatly resemble's Jack's.

Is it possible - timewise that Livia could be Dan's grandmother? And just how weird is THAT???

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

No, I don't think this show would go there. I can think of other shows we've watched that might, or have.

But, not this show. I hope.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I don't trust the girlfriend. I think she's in cahoots with the physicist.

Art Crawl!!!

I can't help but think that Dan's father was a time traveler too.

Woe to the fucking wicked.

I had that thought, as well, sumi. That scene was very sub-text-y. It wouldn't surprise me if we haven't seen the last of him.

Art Crawl!!!

That would be cool.

When they met the resistance members at the gorge, I remember thinking, "Someone's trying to do Fireflyesque old-timey language." That's the only connection I see. At all.

Wasn't Neal McDonough's costuming similar to Mal's?

(And Azkadellia's similar to Inara's for that matter?)

Thrive to spite them

I'd say Neal's was kinda like Mals, although the hat was more Indiana Jones.

But Azkadeillia's wasn't like Inara. Inara's clothes were always more robes and flowy fabrics, Azkadellia's was more along the lines of skin tight black clothes with the occasional gold lame corset and feather or metal shoulder pad things.
