"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

Deep Discount [link] is having a buy one get one free sale on Fox/MGM products, including X-Files, SGA, SG1, Bones, Dead Like Me, The Addams Family and M*A*S*H. I had already bought several M*A*S*H seasons for my mother. Aargh.

Thanks, Ginger! I just bought myself both seasons of Dead Like Me for $28! Merry Christmas to me!

Woot! That's awesome, Ginger - thanks for posting that.

I didn't get to watch all of SGA last night; I did think that Jewel did a good job of being replicatory. I want to rewatch to see what I assume is Elizabeth's swan song? That's a shame. I really liked her when they used her well, and I always liked her chemistry with Shep. Ah, well.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Yeah, this was her Cordelia-kiss-off.

Thrive to spite them

I watched Tin Man and was seriously underwhelmed. Part of the problem is that it dark and murky on my tv and I wasn't engaged. I really didn't care about DG (and I'm laying a lot of that on the actress). I HATED the actress who played Azkadelia. I read an interview where she said she played the character really over the top, something to do with all the special effects and wanting to be larger than life. I think it was a really really bad choice, no one else had that level of over emoting (except, oddly the Mother, I didn't get her at all) and it just magnified how OTT she was.

There were some interesting ideas, but it was just eh. For the most part.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Azkadelia actually grew on me. I agree that the actress made bad choices, or was directed poorly, but I don't think she's talentless.

Thrive to spite them

The only time she really felt natural was when Azkadeilia was trying to fake out DG. That was the only time when I didn't feel like she was trying so hard. I don't know if I've seen her in other stuff (checking out imdb I probably haven't) so I don't know if she's a bad actress or just made bad choices, but considering what I read and the rest of the movie I'll go with bad choices and bad directing.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I wanted the Ronans to go off and duel...

There was that moment when they first saw each other, and one of them had a sweet li'l grin on his face: I figured it was RepliRonan, knowing in an all-out fight between them, he would win simply because he could just keep going no matter the injuries inflicted.

. . . or something.

We could do experiments... t /Anya
