Damn, apparently the December 12th episode of Pushing Daisies is the last one they shot.
*pouts* Well boo.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

Nobody on Torchwood yet?
I'm not sure why, but the finale seemed sort of contrived to me. Maybe because so much of the arc depended on things that didn't appear on the radar until the last minute. "Don't open the rift" only became a theme in the next to last ep. Bilis first appeared in the same ep, and Abadon didn't appear until the last 20 minutes.
The Drama appeared to be hiked a little too high. And I had trouble seeing Gwen discount her role in Rhys's death by blaming Jack. Especially since Owen had done the same thing a few minutes before as to his role in the mess caused by opening the Rift. It seemed in character for Owen, but not for Gwen.
I also had trouble believing Gwen being so much more loyal to Jack in the morgue than anyone else was.
(Line of the ep: "In other circumstances, an exuberant Roman soldier would be my idea of a perfect morning.")
I wanted more explanation of what Bilis was.
That too. I hope for followup next season.
I'd also like to see Rhys do more than just get stood up by Gwen every other ep or so. So I did like his participation this time around.
Tin Man: The reconceptualizing is interesting, but some of the nudge-nudge-wink-wink we're-referencing-the-original dialogue was painful. Alan Cumming is being wasted, while Kathleen Robertson's boobs are putting in overtime (that shot of the flying monkees coming out of her cleavage was awesome). Overall, it's OK, but 6 hours seems way too long and I can't see watching the rest.

Yeah, whoever made the decision to end the first part with "Welcome to the O.Z." should be smacked.
I thought it had some really interesting touches that were often lost, but I'll watch the rest of it, I think, for Cumming and Neal McDonough and CKR.
Trying to watch Blood Ties - my the video thinging on lifetime sucks.
Torchwood season finale:
The Abadon thing... made me laugh like a drain. Was that what they were going for?
Also, it did end up being a "do-over!" episode which was sorta annoying. I had high hopes after last week's ep! Which was creepy and mysterious and had pretty, pretty people dancing in pretty period clothes! And some Jack-on-Jack action!
Bilis was creepy as HELL and I thought the payoff of Abadon was lamer than an lame thing at lametime.
Yeah, whoever made the decision to end the first part with "Welcome to the O.Z." should be smacked.
Especially considering they didn't even have the decency to end that sentence with "bitch!" as would have been right and proper.
