Am I the only one now wishing Ned's father had been in that funeral home paying his respects to Chuck when Ned brought her back? Like, in closer proximity than the thieving owner?
Nah. Then Ned would likely have had less guilt about reanimating Chuck later. It wouldn't be the same.
I keep wondering why Ned's father was such a jerk to Ned, apart from the fact that the man was a jackass. He didn't seem like he was a jerk to his step sons, so why cut off Ned so thoroughly? Did Ned tell him he'd killed his mother?
Want to talk Razor. Can't. So... I just finished last night's PD. Really, really liked this one. The aunts just slay me. When candy bowl aunt gave Ned the peck on the cheek when she was consoling him for having had a jackhole father... the sweet, bashful look Ned gave... I could have died. So. Adorable.
Great Olive ep!
I, too, am confused about Ned's father. I'd say there was something else going on (and maybe there is), but since the aunts also thought he was a jerk, I just don't know. Probably there will be more.
wouldn't it be interesting if Ned's dad had the same power/curse, and realized what happened?
Heh. Clark's birth mother, Lara, was played by Helen Slater this week.
I think Ned's father's real name must be Hank Summers.

There's always the spoiler thread...
Daniel - wasn't that fun?
I wonder what other tv and movie Super-verse people they can bring into Smallville.
Well, they have already had Christopher Reeve, Margot Kidder, and Dean Cain. Oh yes, and Annette O'Toole
Hmm, they need Terri Hatcher. Maybe Gene Hackman as Grampaw Luthor. K Kallen would be neat. Gerard Christopher would be a tough sell. He played Superboy for 71 episodes and then originally cast as Clark in Lois and Clark, and then they decided they wanted someone "new" to acting and cast Dean Cain. Stacy Haiduk played Lana in the Superboy series.
Lots of alum still alive. Noel Neill and Jack Larson from The Adventures of Superman (1950's). Oh! John Shea. Luthor in L&C.
Re. Ned not being able to eat any of his pies:
So is he all, "first chew, everlasting flavour! Second chew, rotten flesh, forever!" with every fruit that he eats? Or just the ones that were rotten to start with that he revived to freshness?
The notion that Ned won't be able to eat any of his scrumptious-looking pies he make is almost as sad as his not being able to touch Digby and Chuck. (I'm developing a habit of baking a pie every Wednesday to be consumed along with PD. I'm having a left over slice of a cranberry apple pie right now AIFG!)
Or just the ones that were rotten to start with that he revived to freshness?
This is what I would think since he's able to touch people he hasn't brought back.
