Lydia: Its removal from Burma is a felony and when triggered it has the power to melt human eyeballs. Giles: In that case I've severely underpriced it.

'Potential'

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"There are few hours in life more agreeable than the hour dedicated to the ceremony known as afternoon tea."

And in the promo for next week's Reaper: was that Mercedes McNabb?

I'm pretty sure it was.

I thought this week was one of the better episodes of Reaper. They twisted with the format a bit, and I loved the devil explaining why he hates Halloween.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

sumi, that is the single most frightening entertainment news story I've read in my life. Fucking hell, step away from my TV love, FOX!

As goes Kevin, so go my people.

TKOKS - did I get it wrong?

::scurries off to imdb to check title of episode::

I beg your pardon, it should have been TKKS. I didn't want to refer to Torchwood Episode 8 by its full name, since it's a pretty damn spoillerific episode title if you hadn't yet seen that episode, and although I got the impression from reading this thread (rather too quickly) that it must have aired, I wasn't 100% and didn't want to inadvertently spoil anyone.

not your mom's socks.

PD (and Bionic Woman, but scroll down) in that publication what used to have a lot of particularly good discussion boards in it - still has some: [link]

I hadn't yet conjured up "Fairy Tale" to describe PD. But I'm slow like that. It's exactly that - the old kind - with the dark underbelly.

"...the singing of a precious They Might Be Giants song almost pushed this whimsical, chiming, cheery circus wagon over a horrible, rocky cliff for me. But let's be fair: For those who don't grit their teeth when they hear any song by this band, it was a delightful digression. Besides, that's the price you pay for admission to the strangest show on earth -- or on your TV set, at any rate. You can't expect a show to be this odd and imaginative and not follow some path that's weird or superfluous or downright bizarre every now and then. I think we can all agree that, given the oppressive homogeneity of most dramas, it makes good sense to support and encourage the weirdos in the bunch."

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

Wouldn't surprise me - the press copies went out a couple of weeks ago.

Thrive to spite them

Something weird has gone on with my ABC channel and there's no voice over!

No actually, there's no dialouge at all just background music.

Nana korobi, ya oki. (Fall down seven times, stand up eight.) ~Yuzuru Hanyu/Japanese proverb

Well, that's just rude!

I finally figured out why I like the voice over so much. It reminds me of Boris Karloff reading "The Grinch." It's got the same pacing and tonality, the pragmatism and whimsy. I like it.

Well, there's Dr. Seuss-like rhyming in the opening of this. I don't think it's usually rhyming.
