A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
So - basically I was assuming some kind of race, with the stopwatch. Not neccesarily involving biscuits. But - yeah. Whatever.
Naw, Jack wouldn't want to rush. I think that it would be more like "how long can you hold out before I make your eyes roll back in your head?"
I heard they sent Zach on a talk show, and as part of that he went door-to-door telling people to watch the show to stop it being cancelled.
The lead guy on Chuck (is that Zachary Levi?) is such a Jim Halpert/John Krasinski type that I find it a little distracting. Like Jim accidentally opened one of Dwight's e-mails and got turned into a computer.
That's a selling point for me. I love Jim, in a vaguely manly way.
So help me, if Reaper gets cancelled before there can be a Reaper/Supernatural crossover, I think I may cry.
Don't worry, le_n, there's always fanfic.
(Not that I'm planning on writing one or anything like that, no sir...)
But isn't the OC's creator also the creator of Chuck?
Yeah, but he could have used the same joke/reference twice. That image -- two people seeing each other across a room in slo-mo -- felt too iconic to have been invented on the OC.
I'm enjoying both Reaper and Chuck, but I think both shows are getting a little too caught up in the main character hiding their secret week after week.
This this this.
Youtube actually has the end of "The Countdown" episode of The O.C.: [link] I think it's gotta be a deliberate self-referential moment because Schwartz used the same song.
I loved yesterday's episode of Chuck. Snappy writing and directing, Morgan not buggin' me for once (the Captain Awesome Teaches Morgan The Way of the Tucker bit = made of win), The Arcade Fire reference... what's not to love? I also adore everyone at Buy More. Lester and Jeff dressing up as the couple from the Grant Wood painting! Total throwaway bit, but classic. It engaged me about 5x more than Heroes, which is sadly losing me this season, I'm afraid.

Ah, that explains why Chuck kept stopping and looking around, which I couldn't figure out last night.
