I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Ah, that's why John's been in a different costume all night. So you could tell the two of them apart.

Wow. That was slashy. I wonder how much subtext the producers are actually aware of.

Thrive to spite them

I really liked this episode, although I wonder if they are going to introduce a new psychologist. JF did a really good job. And I liked when Teyla went to John and hugged him and John was sort of...paralyzed by what to do, awkwardly patting her. He's so awkward with showing emotions.

Evil John was fun to watch.

I was going to say - Joe Flanigan does evil well. I could watch him being evil more, and that'd be OK.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Yeah, he's on that list of actors who do funny and creepy well. Like Boreanez and Fillion.

Apparently, having a medical degree in the Stargate universe is the same as wearing a red shirt on Star Trek. Pity Heightmeyer didn't go out as a consequence of her own backfire-prone psychiatric advice; it would have been more poetic.

Can anyone explain why John would be the one hooked up to the dreamscape machine? As opposed to, oh, I don't know, someone with telepathic gifts who's had past experience in linking with the minds of malevolent aliens and struggling against them?

Meta answer: So they could have John fighting John, because it's cool and shit.

Slasher answer: Oh, my god, there are no women in their brains.

Oh, that made me laugh and laugh.

However, I did feel the episode kind of dragged. And John's fight scenes weren't very suspenseful.

But, hey, Heightmeyer won't be around to be a really lousy therapist anymore, so that's a plus! ::cheery smile:: I hate to be cold hearted, but she was awful, and I had no affection for the character.

I'm watching Odyessey 5, it's getting interesting. Although it's funny to see all the blurred and bleeped stuff. I definitely need to see the dvds of this.

It's worth watching uncut, because man, do these people swear a LOT at one another. It's kind of awesome. And I really grew to like Chuck and Neil's relationship: it's messy and believable.

I liked O5, and I'm bummed we'll never find out the rest of the story.
