Ooh. That actually makes me feel better about the casting. Although he looks awfully like Byers from X-Files for someone named Raul Esparza.
I'm rewatching, as you do, and this bit just came up.

I have yet to stick with an entire episode of PD. It's too cutsey to hold my undivided attention. I like the production design and I think the actors are all good, but...I guess I hate spunk.
I would expect a musical number upcoming between him and Kristin Chenoweth.

Heh, I think the line about the Rapture was my favorite line of the night. Also agree that the Saran Wrap kissing was extremely hot, esp. with Ned holding his hands behind his back. nnngh.
One line that pinged me, though: the narrator said something at the end about Chuck being "regifted to the piemaker." Err, what? That's not quite how I see it...
Chuck was beginning to annoy me a little, but I got over it. It could come back.
Chuck - the character on Pushing Daisies? Or Chuck - the show on NBC?
I heard that the timing wasn't right for Paul Rubens to do this role but that he is going to be on in another role.

Emerson is the best thing about this show, hands down
I'm starting to find Chuck annoying, though I continue to love her outfits.
John Waters TOTALLY needs to do a guest spot.
The plastic-wrap kissing was totally hot.
I liked this episode better than last week's. It was less firing-on-too-many-cylinders.
I loved the opening, with young Ned being all scientific and discovering The Minute.
And Emerson's "Oh HELL no!" followed by his fleeing from the funeral home was priceless.
Chuck is still mildly annoying at times, but she's getting better. She's just so terminally sunny in comparison to the more dour Emerson and Ned that it's really jarring.
And she is or was so persistent in going everywhere that Ned goes.
And being two inches away from him despite the constant risk of potential re-death.
