Gavin, ask yourself this question. What are you more afraid of, a giant murderous demon or me?

"It didn't taste good. It tasted soooo horrible. It tasted like....a vodka martini." - Matilda

Owen is a creepy rapist fuckwit and a selfish repulsive troll who should have been eaten by mountain bears, like, yesterday.

Finally, someone with the same opinion of Owen that I have. "Selfish repulsive troll" really gets it. Or maybe selfish repulsive result of an unnatural union between a troll and a marsh wiggle.

Danger is my middle name, only I spell it R. u. t. h. - Tina Belcher.

Ok, here's the thing about Owen, first we see him acting skanky or possibly a rapist. Then the same kind of impulse is turned against him in a later episode, and finally he witnesses an actual rape via the alien ghost thing and tries to kill the rapist. I think there has been a progression on where he stands on the issue of forced sex.

Also, I think he kissed Gwen in the morge drawer to shut her up. and then it got more interesting than was planned. I don't hate Owen. I think he started out as a letche and has changed. I think the things that have happened to him have been the writers' intentional reforming of his character.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

I actually dislike him more after seeing Countrycide. That stunt with Gwen in the woods was very unpleasant. (side note: why did they beep Sharon Osborne saying "tick my box", but yet Owen got to say "when's the last time you came so hard you didn't know where you were" Maybe a timing issue with 8PM versus 10PM?)

I also have come to the conclusion that I don't like Gwen. She supposed to be the "heart" of the team, but she does a lot of stupid shit. I don't know how I'd react to being shot, but I'm pretty sure that I wouldn't try to stop someone from helping me. I also think that she's an idiot for sleeping with Owen. Okay, I don't think that the relationship with Reese was going to go anywhere, but Owen was stupid for a lot of reasons 1 - you don't fuck your coworkers, especially when they've shown themselves to be immature gits. 2 - it's a bad idea to fuck someone that your co-worker OBVIOUSLY has a thing for.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Chuck, your chick-fu is still weak.

still loving Chuck. Zachary Levi is just all kinds of adorable.

Julie, you might want to take your squee to the Heroes thread, we can all share! (or at least everyone who isn't two eps behind)

I am the fly who dreams of the spider

heh, I realized I was in the wrong thread when I checked back and there was still massive silence.

I really enjoyed Journeyman. They're creating a very compelling quadrangle, and the twist with the scientist calling Dan in the past from The Present was intriguing. Especially since I really wasn't expecting this show to get into the technobabble of time travel.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

Finally, someone with the same opinion of Owen that I have. "Selfish repulsive troll" really gets it.

I usually don't talk about TW because this is almost the only opinion that I see. I was watching the episodes back to back so I viewed it as a strong cologne and forgot about it. In hindsight, I understand why it was stinging and maybe it would have stood out for me more if I was watching an episode at a time.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I am sad I don't love PD more. I love Lee Pace so terribly terribly much, but the show's a bit too twee for me. A bit too much sighing, though I could watch Lee do whatever forever.
