Moonlight seems like it is trying to be a younger, hipper Forever Knight. (All the characters seem relatively similar to me if one maps Nick Knight over to Mick, Janette over to Josef Konstantin, and Natalie over to Beth Turner... ok Janette / Josef mapping is a little thin, but you know what I mean.) I haven't decided if I like it yet, but I'll watch almost any show with vampires.

I thought this week's ep of Moonlight was a lot better than the pilot, but as someone else pointed out it was also written by David Greenwalt. likely the only ep penned by him. so I'm still a bit skeptical, but it does get another pass from me.
O'Loughlin is hawt and Dohring was much less OTT for me, that's for sure.

Re: this week's BBCA episode of Torchwood: I enjoyed the emotional journey and follow through of Jack a LOT, but the actual plot was a bit... huh???... not so logical. Was fine enough to sustain what was going on character-wise, though, so I still liked the ep.
I don't understand why the fairies trashed Gwen's flat. Not even a little bit. Was there something in the original version that was cut in the BBCA version?
Also, we went out to dinner last night at Dali, a romantic tapas place in Somerville, and the host sprinkled red rose petals on our table and we were all, ummmmm, ok, we watch too much TV 'cause this is freaky!
Also also, one thing I'm really seeing here is how the Torchwood crew are really connected to the issues they are dealing with, in opposition to the Doctor, who will gravely pronounce how very sorry he is and then back to the TARDIS and byyyyeeee! I love the Doctor, and I am oversimplifying of course, but it's interesting how different the consequences have been especially these past couple of episodes. Ianto and Lisa last week and Jack and his lover this week.

No, apparently the cuts this week were very minor.
This isn't my favorite episode, though I like the creepiness and the fact that they went all the way and let the fairies take the girl.

One of the repair guys that we use is British and a Dr Who fan, he said one of his kids can do a spot on imitation of "Are you my mummy?" and will say it just to freak him ( the dad) out.
