"Mister Spock is on his fanny, sir. Reports heavy damage."

"Exploding Tumor" ranks almost up there with "Butt Genie" for the phrases I never want to hear.

And yet, weirdly, The X-Files did exploding tumors too (F. Emasculata, 2nd or 3rd season), and it kind of worked. In the handwavy, ponderous, obfuscate-with-encyclopedic-knowledge way of early XF, but it did work.

I enjoyed Friday's SGA a lot. I will miss Elizabeth, actually, not that they ever used her all that well. I like that she got a good out, and that there's potential for her to visit again. And I enjoyed John's angst about all of it.

OK, so, it's time for hair talk now. I mean, it is Stargate, right? Sam's hair. WTF? OK, I get that the actor might be sick of having to keep her hair short, but... a loose, little, casual chic do? Really, hairstylers? In the military? I mean, maybe it is fine - I've never been in the military. But her hair was falling out and she was just standing there! But I love Sam, so... I just had to talk Stargate hair.

Pretty new planet with pretty moons.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

I liked Carson a lot at the beginning, but by Season 3 they were shoehorning him into gate team missions he had NO business being on to give him something to do, and he was acting completely out of character.

But this is why I don't understand why they killed the character to bring in another doctor. Does she have qualifications that are going to make more sense, or is she going to be recurring from the start? Nothing against Jewel. I love her to pieces. I'm just not getting the logic of the replacement.

ooh, Jason Momoa, I adore him, he actually won me over within two eps as a character and a big ol' cutiepie.

Yes. I was all filled with righteous indignation and then Jason smiled. Dammit.

All is well that ends in pizza.

It looks eps 1 and 2 of his season's SGA were leaked and on the net in September.

Apparently they were rough cuts, missing SFX.

Now I find out ep 4 was accidentally made available on iTunes a few days ago.

oops.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

I'm glad this makes logical sense to you but... really? Henry manufacturing an emergency is no more legitimate than him TALKING to Allison and Stark and the three of them working together to get to the transporter thingie.

Even if they worked together it seems that there still would have needed to be an emergency for the panic room to get down to that level and for the emergency equipment to power up. Henry could have been taking one for the team. I'm not sure that makes the best sense, but personally I'm going to have to rationalize it one way or another to live with that ending. I'd love to have the podcasts for the last two episodes to try and understand some of the rationale behind the plot choices.

Fandom means never having to say "But where would I wear that?"

My VCR cut off just before the end of this week's SGA. Where is the Replicator fleet heading?(and was there anything after that?)

JenP - Oct 07, 2007 9:52:00 am PDT #7289 of 10001

They're heading for a Wraith planet, so, presumably, the code trigger worked. Sam and John had a chat on the balcony - Sam's going back to SGHQ, John will not give up on getting Elizabeth back if there's a chance. I think that was it.

I'm terrifically busy with my ennui.

Off to fight the Wraith, so the assumption is that the reprogramming worked.

I think after that was the scene between Sheppard and Carter about Weir. Just people being sad that she's "lost" and John saying something about how they'll find her if there's any chance. And then sad faces.

Thank you. (I didn't realize the clock on my VCR was off. I'll take that into consideration from now on.)

Sheryl, I think they're also running a couple minutes late because of the BSG flashbacks during Flash Gordon. I'd expect that will continue for a while.
