Smallville: Lynda Carter looked great. Why would Lex use all his resources to make Lana think she was pregnant? That was idiotic. And I wish that we would learn what, if anything, Chloe's meteor-rock power is. Also, the preview makes it look like it's ALL Clark/Lex so I am looking forward to it.

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
is it just my computer or is that first Director's Cut audio really hard to hear?
sumi, do you mean when Dean says, "come to the coast. we'll get together, have a few laughs"? it's a quote from Bruce Willis' character in Die Hard, if that's what it is.
Yes -- thank you!
Blood Ties: how the heck is the priest alive for 400 years? Is he actually a vampire too?
So, I'm watching Cold Squad today. Tohmah whathisname, Helo on BSG plays a beat cop. His partner, at least in this episode is the actor who plays the Scottish doctor on SG-A. On Cold Squad he has a very Canadian accent, on SG-A it is Scottish. So I'm wondering, does anyone know which is his real accent?
I know that his accent on SGA is not his normal way of speaking. I think maybe his folks are from Scotland? I think he's Canadian. Maybe.
ETA:
From IMDB:
The sixth of seven children, Paul's family emigrated to Canada from Paisley, Scotland when he was just 2 years old. He returned to Scotland during his early teens for a few years before heading back to Canada . Paul has a degree in Teaching and while studying at University, got involved in various sports including becoming a freestyle wrestling champion. After graduating the actor began his career teaching theatre in Toronto, squeezing in time to attend auditions, finally making the move to Vancouver.
I think maybe his folks are from Scotland? I think he's Canadian. Maybe.
AFAIK, both things are true. (His parents are definitely Scottish, I don't remember if he's Canadian.) At panels, he slips in and out of the Scottish accent without missing a beat, which is both cool and a little freaky.
He talked about that at DragonCon. He has a Canadian accent, but his parents are Scottish.
Uh, DC? I didn't know there was supposed to be mention of [omitted]
The character in question was announced to be in the third series and left to join the Tardis off screen at the end of season one of Torchwood .
It is widely known, but I have altered my post because it is not necessarily known by all.
Blood Ties: how the heck is the priest alive for 400 years? Is he actually a vampire too?
sumi, did you catch the explanation having to do with milking vampires for their blood and mixing it with some sort of special chinese herb, all tied up with a black magic ritual and then having jazz hands waved over it?
Boy, that was a bit more torture than I usually care to watch. But I did have to laugh at Henry saying "grace" as he drug the monsigneur down the hall, before chowing down.
I have no trouble handling psychic whales. (A BABY WHALE FRIEND. NAMED SAM.)With everything SGA has asked me to deal with over the years? Whales (fish whales even) are easy. Especially when it is a baby whale friend named Sam. Because I found that amusing.
And, boy howdy, Shep was smoking hot.
Boy, I am all about the shallow when it comes to this show.
I'm just getting to SG1 now and it's ... lacking thrall. Except Sam's password. That's kinda amusing. Well, unless she dies. Then it'll be poignant. I hope.
