Yep, you are in the right place. Welcome back!

Speaking of which:

DW 3.34 - I thought Solomon's accent was really good, and I thought Laslow gave a wonderful performance, too. The human/dalek reminded me of something, but I can't figure it out. It's bugging me. Oh, and I liked the look of the black model Dalek. Very Fonzie, or something. I liked the ep, though it wasn't especially suspenseful.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

JenP, folks on TWoP were saying it reminded them of both the Ood and Davy Jones.

S to the A -- using they/them pronouns!

DW: Human/Dalek = chthullu ping, for me.

JenP - Apr 22, 2007 1:59:29 pm PDT #708 of 10001

DW: Aha! Thanks, P-C, it's Davy Jones! Man, I wonder how long that would've taken me. I hope not until PotC III. And, yeah, the Ood. I can see that. I'm not well-versed enough in chthullu lore for that to have been it for me, though.

Phew.

an overblown libretto and a sumptuous score/ could never contain the contradictions I adore

I've yet to see the episode, but I'm kind of amused by Dr. Who's Zoidberg Dalek . I adore the season so far, though-- there can never be enough catnuns . Ever.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

SG-1 - OMG still with the Ori. Yawn! I do like the Vala & Tobin storyline, though. (And was Daniel getting captured last week just an excuse to give MS a week off? Since we've apparently not been trying to rescue him at all?)

SGA - BAD crack in the writers room. Seriously, psychic whales? Seriously??

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

OK, I'm exactly two minutes into Who 3x4 and I already have two pedantic nitpicks:

1. The Statue of Liberty's torch is wrong! In the 1930's she had a glass torch, not a copper one!

2. Hooverville was in Riverside park, not Central park!

Oh, thanks for number 2, Scola. I'd never heard of it before, so I was learning American history from this British sci-fi show.

No, wait, I just checked Wikipedia, and it agrees with Who.
