Hey, if it means I don't have to read any more, woo and, might I add, a big hoo.

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

Chuck was fun. Things blew up. I like the Casey/Chuck/Sarah dynamic. I still find Morgan a waste of space.

"Fuck Western ideologically-motivated gender identification!" Sulu gasped, and came.

Barrowman's "American" accent still sounds fake to me and that bugs.

Oh dear! But...he is American, isn't he? I mean, born here, sure, but raised and educated in the States, right? But mind you, I find that I become more British than British sometimes when I'm surrounded by non-Brits. (Although it can go the other way too, and one can just pick up other accents and then it sounds like you're taking the piss!)

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

I was told that the accent Gabrielle Anwar used in the pilot of Burn Notice was her real accent, but I'm damned grateful she dropped it. I couldn't not think leprechaun. She sounded awful!

But who am I to judge?

I can't even remember if Barrowman would have sounded fine to me when I lived in the UK. Probably, though. His speech has an I-can't-put-my-finger-on-it quality to it, include clear projection, but it doesn't sound too alien.

So to speak.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

Well at least Barrowman's American accent is better than the horrors put on for Jeeves & Wooster.

"Would you mind not farting while I'm saving the world?" - Doctor Who

So, Journeyman. I find I just don't care.

I'm not sold on it yet. It's "Quantum Leap" minus the humorous body swapping.

Chuck is mindless fun. I like that his memory is triggered by visual stimuli. It keeps him close to the action.

Heroes looks to be another winning season. I like that Hiro is caught up in the life of Kensai. It would appear that the legends Hiro grew up with are a composite of the two. My other favorite moment: Claire's toe.

machall, you can find more Heroes talk in the Heroes thread.

I like that his memory is triggered by visual stimuli. It keeps him close to the action.

It also appears to be triggered by auditory stimuli. Which is odd because he didn't recognize the evil doctor's name, but he recognized his face, but when Casey was telling him about the French diplomats, just that story triggered a memory.

And then Ortus came and said "It's Ortin' time" and they all Orted off into the sunset

DH interviewed The Bionic Woman. I didn't realize Michelle Ryan was British (speaking of people whose American accents don't sound quite right).

NOt only is she British, she was in Eastenders for years, so I don't know if I'll ever be able to see her as anything other than than a cockney bird working on a market stall.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

Is NBC under some sort of weird contract where they have to hire British actors for all their shows?

Art Crawl!!!

Hee.

They are in thrall to the BBC.

Oh, FYI - Reed Diamond looks great in police uniform. Just saying.
