"Love and Monsters", and then Torchwood has one. Sort of.

It's one of the most successful anything eps of the series.

I've tricked my new phone out Who-style. It unfolds, see, to reveal a full little keyboard. So of course it's called TARDIS on my Bluetooth network, and plays the (2005) theme music as the generic ring tone. Currently the Tardis whoop is the text message announcement. I have the Exterminate! and the Don't even blink! on there...just in case. Actually, the BBC page with sounds is pretty cool--even has "Are you my mummy?" which was my previously most crept out Who moment.

If I were a kid there's no way I could sleep at night.

I think it's easily the most successful bystander ep of the series.

Most definitely - one of my favorite eps, period.

The coolest thing I learned about Blink in the Confidential is that the statues were all actors in make-up/prosthetics.

Damn, good ep. Really brilliant, in spite of and perhaps because of the plot/logic holes that had lanterns hung on them (timey wimey things).

I'd love to see Sally back again, although it might upset the ending they had with her getting "past" the Doctor and finally opening herself up to Larry.

The flashes on the angel's faces as Sally and Larry are scrambling to get inside the Tardis... I knew what to expect, knew they'd be safe, and I was still clutching the arms of the chair.

And the end flashing on all the public statuary... brilliant. And even moreso since this is a "kids" show and they've just scarred kids for life. I love it!

Between last week's ending making me suspect every mirror I'll ever look in, and this week's making me suspect every damn piece of statuary, this season is determine to creep me out for ordinary things, isn't it?

Lovelovelove this episode! I just called my sister and ordered her to watch it tonight, even though she has been unable to get into the revival at all (she was a big fan of Classic!Who with me back in the '80s). Her fiance was never into Who, despite being a big SF fan, and I told her to make sure he watches it, too.

There were a bunch of little things I liked about the episode, like when the other dvd store guy was telling the woman on the dvd to go to the police "they never go to the police" and so Sally did it. Also the fact that there was an easter egg that seemed to be talking to her, and at first the guy seemed to be talking to Sally not the screen.

Also when she said "by guys you mean the internet" (I know that's not the exact quote) it didn't seem very disparaging and ooh your loser, more matter of fact.

Interesting blog post on TV, mostly from a SF angle, mentioning Bionic Woman. And that's commented on by John Rogers. Interesting reading, especially about shape, and leads one to think about Eureka, which no longer has its main guy at the helm.

Watched Journeyman, and I have an inexplicable loathing of Moon Bloodgood and it makes me feel guilty. She's not doing anything wrong--she wasn't on Daybreak either--she's lovely but not too lovely.

Want her dead.

What I like most about the pilot, what was the biggest relief was that his wife and possibly his brother will believe him. Made me think, obviously, of Daybreak, which--I wonder why anyone bought that. You can never just flip on en ep of Daybreak and enjoy it by itself. Even if you had already watched them all, it'd be hard to just go back and enjoy an old one.

Which is a shame, because I liked it (Adam Baldwin was especially good considering his character) and the way they were telling the story. Just seemed very unworkable in today's market.
