I'm just trying to tell you that we have nothing in common besides both of us liking your penis.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

"What would it take to get your daughter to stop tweeting about this?"

This is why I think DNA Mad Scientist is where Farscape goes from being a fun but a little cheesy sf show to something special, and it just goes deeper and richer from there and becomes something magnificent.

I felt it was a turning point.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

As I've said before, Farscape is everything that you didn't realize was missing from Star Trek.

What else besides ramen can you scoop? YOU CAN SCOOP THIS WORLD FROM DARKNESS!

You're welcome! The other season posts follow a similar format, with episode-by-episode reactions with bolded names.

As I've said before, Farscape is everything that you didn't realize was missing from Star Trek.

Hee.

We're very stretchy. - Connie Neil

I've spent a (small) portion of my day off today channel surfing and stumbled across Independence Day on Encore. That movie is really full of SF-genre stars, isn't it? Jeff Goldblum, Adam Baldwin, Mary McDonnell, and Brent Spiner.

"And to be clear, I am the hell. And the high water."

I don't know if I can ever really like the characters involved in that decision. It was shocking, and horrifying, and I didn't think they would go through with it. I guess that is good storytelling even if I am left with kind of a sick feeling.

Right there with you, Austin. I was really appalled. Did you see the ep later where Pilot recalls how he arrived on Moya?

More of the same. Rinse. Repeat.

ita, re: lipstick on character in BW....

I thought in the bar, she looked like the joker. Honest to goodness. I even commented on it to Beau. He said, "I was thinking the same thing."

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

It was a lot of makeup, and I couldn't stare away from her lips. But I want some of that colour for myself...

"We are the Goon Squad and we're coming to town...Beep! Beep!" - David Bowie, "Fashion"

Yeah, Farscape does bring the pain and the angst. It also brings the funny and the hot (and sometimes uncomfortably all of them mixed in together). I hope you stick with it because it is a WILD ride. Plus, real honest to goodness character arcs. Until the wheels fall off in season four (though somewhat redeemed by the mini-series).

Crichton's journey is something special, though.

I just finished The Flax, so I don't think so. That is the problem with watching the episodes so close together. I'm sure I am missing quite a bit. I'll have to pick those things up on the rewatch though. It's too good not to keep going quickly.

Off to mainline (but not Mainline) more Farscape

Oh yes.

I just finished The Flax, so I don't think so.

It's in season two.
