I thought he was actually going to catch a clue when Jo's face fell, but instead of "No, no, I didn't mean to demean what you do" he went and dug his own grave a little deeper. I don't even want him to redeem himself and make good with Jo. I just want him to get gone. Maybe he can realize how wrong he was at the distance of the curb.
