Looks like civilization finally caught up with us.

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

"Cry havoc and let slip the boobs of war!" -- Miracleman

So this new Flash Gordon, then - is it set in the present? Or retro?

It's set in the present. Flash is a young virile athlete with a tragic past; his father died when he was young. He and Dale had a passionate college love affair, then broke up. Now, she's back in town as a reporter, engaged to a cop. They've hooked up with his dad's former lab assistant. Turns out that Daddy opened a "dimensional rift" to an alien world and is possibly still alive!!!! (pause for eyeroll) There are plot holes that you could drive a country through, random characters, horrible writing, and NO QUEEN THEME SONG.

I did like the bunny on the car.

Uh, that's pretty much all I remember from this week's episode.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

There's also a lot of standing around and talking in lieu of, you know, action and adventure.

Now let us crush something soft and watch it fountain blood. That is a girlish thing to want to do, yes?

Vortex, I'm amazed that you were able to focus long enough to make even that much sense of it. Thanks for taking one for the team.

'we all walk this earth feeling we are frauds. The trick is to be grateful and hope the caper doesn't end any time soon"

Also, Mongo, which supposedly has a poison water problem, seems really rather lush and green and sometimes swampy.

yes, Ming is horrible. And not in a despotic way, just not a good character. His daughter is spoiled and annoying, so true to the original character, but wears a lot of stuff from the 80's (past outfits have included leggings, a tunic, gloves, dangly earrings and a little hat)

Who knew that Mongo was the world that never got past the 80s?

Every now and then, I think I might actually be a little odd.
