OK - what show is this with Maya and holographic ghosts? Torchwood?
Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

But speaking of Torchwood Comcast Digital Cable has some Torchwood preview stuff up - and I haven't watched the whole thing but the first thing looks to be the actual first episode.
thanks.
Okay, now I have watched it and it's the first episode w/o credits but only up until Jack tells Gwen that in addition to the memory modifying stuff he's also put a sedative in her drink and she runs away and the screen goes black. Then there is a "Torchwood Declassified" segment but they call it something like "What is Torchwood" and a segment about Capt. Jack that has lots of clips from Doctor Who season one.
I just tried to watch this past week's Flash Gordon, and I just can't. It's just so bad. And not in a good way. Not even the original song could have redeemed it.
Vortex, I think your opinion is widely shared.

I think I turned the channel when Flash said something about the woman being able to stay only until his mom came home.
At least they didn't totally forget that he has a Mom, not that she looks any different at all from the other brunettes cast on the show. I mean, seriously, you can only tell them apart by the makeup and clothes.
So this new Flash Gordon, then - is it set in the present? Or retro?
