I really like the actor who plays the lead alien. Banes! The one who plays Banes.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
Yeah. The casting on this one was good (it's been a bit hit-or-miss on some episodes).
I really am not liking this episode. I'm annoyed with the Tardis for putting them in a location where Martha's race is an issue. They could have been in Paris at roughly the same time, and lived a very different existence, she wouldn't have had to be a maid. Issues aside, putting her in that kind of position means that she does not have the power to help him.
And WHY did Martha not have possession of the watch? If he was programmed to not think the watch was a big deal, why would it be in his possession if Martha was the one to open it? Also, given its power, why could they not program it so that the Doctor (or Martha) is the only one who can open it?
That little kid was kinda creepy.
But I'm a fan of this story. I like that her race is an issue because it often doesn't when I think it should, like when they went back to Stratford.
Right, yes, logic. I have no answer that isn't completely pulled out of the ass of the King of Handwavium.

oh yes, I appreciate that they finally acknowledged it, but the Tardis could have picked a better place/time for them to hide. She can't help him here.
I'm guessing that contingency plans were not high up on the list of needs, since there most have been more inconspicuous places to tuck him too.
A bit of a clumsy way to get to conflict, but I think that if they needed Martha constrained in her ability to help they could have done it a number of ways. Hmm. I'm going to have to ponder a little more, since I'm not sure how much of that opinion is coloured by having seen the whole thing.
ah, I've only seen the first half.

yes, absolutely. And without her scrubbing floors!
Okay, I loved this episode -- that kid from Love, Actually is very good, isn't he? Also, the Banes actor -- I could swear I've seen him before. And I cannot believe that they are making us wait two weeks for the second half.
Evil.
I know! Bastages!
