No, back when they were showing the first half of season 1, all 22 episodes were already shot. Lifetime picked up the back nine which is what is being shown starting in October.

I hope that they decide to order another season.

Ah - I understood that they'd filmed 22 episodes, but only aired the first 12, with the intention of the remaining 9 being aired as 'Season 2'? But that there was no word yet on whether they would go on to film new episodes?

Ah, but here in Bangkok, we are not so much reliant upon the kosher existence of DVDs. It's more a case of "Can it be ahemed?" For if it can, then some brave soul HAS ahemed it, burned it to disk, created little covers and will sell you it at a rate of roughly a dollar a disk. Thus have I caught up on The Dresden Files and Blood Ties, both of which I really rather liked. Particularly the latter - Tanya Huff's my favourite purveyor of vampire-centric prose, and although the show didn't do as good a job of eschewing genre cliches as the books (Book!Henry being a diminutive ginger bisexual who writes bodice rippers, whereas TV!Henry is a pouty Byronic prettyboy who writes gruesome comics and makes no mention of banging boys) I still really enjoyed it. (Er...I would be lying if I said that an appreciation of the chemistry between said pouty Byronic prettyboy and the splendid Vicki Nelson - and indeed the Vicki/Mike thing - played no part of my appreciation. For I am shallow. So sue me.)

Just watched the Dead Zone with the priest in it. Now that I've been told there were budget cuts to the show I can't help staring at it more intently. Week before last Sarah didn't even appear, did she? Or the sheriff.

I'm surprised narratively that Johnny didn't just call in a bomb threat. Not that it'd have worked, due to the nature of the explosion, but it is what I'd have tried.

In the priest one he's really obviously moving his hands above things until he feels enough to touch what'll give him a vision. Have we been shown that before?

Also, in the explosion episode, he gets a hit off the phone call. That definitely looks like something I'd remember--has he done that before?
