Mal: Take your people and go. Captain: You would have done the same. Mal: We can already see I haven't.

'Out Of Gas'

Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.

A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.

Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.

Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.

This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.

All is well that ends in pizza.

I would like for some future ep to have it be revealed that Carter was lowballing his number deliberately to make sure she came out higher than him.

I want it to be Stark that calls him on it.

Retcon can serve a noble purpose.

Well not canonically, no, but this is transformative fiction.

Hmm. I like Martha better than I liked Rose, and I can't tell you if that's because of episodes I've seen that haven't been aired in the US yet. I don't quite think so--I warmed to her pretty early. She's bright and takes initiative more than Rose did.

Remember that the frontier of the Rebellion is everywhere. And even the smallest act of insurrection pushes our lines forward.

I like Martha for the same reason I liked Ace: She's having fun. Travelling with the Doctor ought to be fun.

Love is stronger than death and harder than sorrow. Those who practice it are fierce like the light of stars traveling eons to pierce the night.

I like Martha as the Doctor's companion a lot. One thing I did see is that sometimes her native intelligence plus extensive education got overlooked in the writing. There were times when the script called for her to act like pretty much any other companion, when one would expect her scientific/medical training to come to the fore. But then again, if the writers had emphasized that, Martha would not be an effective proxy for the audience, so I can see why. Still, there were times that after an ep was over, I would look back and think Martha had gotten the short end of the stick.

I do believe in killing the messenger, you know why? Because it sends a message. ~ Damon Salvatore

just had a nostalgia bug bite and watched an ep of Farscape. i chose Meltdown. damn John and Aeryn are hot. BB and CB have probably THE best chemistry i have ever seen between two actors. even more amazing that they have the ability to turn it off a la Stargate.

i'm tempted to do a full rewatch, but i have had so much trouble keeping up with tv this summer. i don't know what's wrong with me.
