When I was a kid, a local station showed the Flash Gordon serials at noon on Sunday. My parents' would hang around church and talk, while the time for Flash Gordon came perilously closer. Finally, I'd take the keys from them and run home in my patent leather shoes. I don't think I'm particularly wedded to the original. At least I wouldn't want a repetition of the scene were Flash and Dr. Zarkov were forced to shovel uranium into the atom furnace.
Boxed Set, Vol. IV: It's always suicide-mission this, save-the-planet that.
A topic for the discussion of Farscape, Smallville, and Due South. Beware possible invasions of Stargate, Highlander, or pretty much any other "genre" (read: sci fi or fantasy) show that captures our fancy. Expect Adult Content and discussion of the Big Gay Sex.
Whitefont all unaired in the U.S. ep discussion, identifying it as such, and including the show and ep title in blackfont.
Blackfont is allowed after the show has aired on the east coast.
This is NOT a general TV discussion thread.
I love Martha's family too and the Doctor continues to NOT say the right thing to the parents.
Do we know the guy warning Martha's mom?
I agree sumi. Martha's family is fun. I just love the show more and more. still don't like Dalek episodes though
He didn't look familiar to me -- was there a name mentioned? If so, I didn't catch it.
Martha's Mom's eyebrows bug me.
I'm thinking I'm going to love Gina Holden as Dale, so there is that. I want to like it so much I'm going to be willing to give a lot of growing room.
I did a quick look at the Flash Gordon reviews and they were encouranging. be good be good be good please
That bowling ball thing was funny.
Well, it does suffer from being a Pilot, which I don't tolerate well. But I'll watch some more.
It's all connected.
